Very informative

I have a read a range of books on the subject of pastel painting, and I feel this one is the most complete, and it’s the one who made me feel like experimenting the most. I particularly liked the close-ups, which allow for analysis of the marks used in the paintings.

Excellent concise tips with examples

Strong references and illustrative text convey the intention of the artist. Will use some of the ideas to inspire experimention with textural subject matter.
