I had fun with this book! All I can say is that this would make a good movie starring Cameron diaz & Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson & a no name kid disney actress kid... It read like a silly movie. Seriously!! A GREAT movie! Just not a good book! Like the opposite of the Harry Potter series (books better?) Not this one. The movie would be better!

Let me explain!

This book started out great & the actual plot was great. The flow was choppy. Annoyingly so! You needed the visual scene changes l

It started off great, then it went down hill from there. If you trust good advice. Do not read this book. There are some many things wrong with the story. Alex is smart but doesn't do well with other people, so why does she give in so quickly to Daniel(main male C)and Lani(the child)? There is a vague sexual tension between the two Main Characters(childish tension). All three characters are on the run because of bad men wanting to kill these three characters, but at every turn the bad guys catch ...more

Oh my

I have read two of her books in this series and both books are awesome. Fixing to read another book from this series and I can't wait.

I would rate this 5 stars, but for one thing...sometimes things really were a little too easy. WTH? Yep, I said it. I loved the characters. I loved how all of them interacted and thought the author's style was great. However, the book was not perfect. It was definitely fun and entertaining which is why I can definitely overlook what wasn't perfect and just enjoy how much I liked reading this book.

Seems contradictory, but let me explain (if I can). Another review did have some really valid commen

A rather enticing combination, this. It’s both a romantic fiction novel and a thriller. There’s a meaningful message in there too, about using the earth’s resources for the good of humanity as well as an attack on faceless corporations which use individuals as pawns in a game and cynically use the earth’s resources for profit.

But first, the romance. Alex, our heroine, is an archetypal geek. A

**DISCLAIMER** I reeeived a copy of this in exhange for a review.

I gave 'Ring of Fire' 4 stars, the biggest reason is that the underliying theme of 'green energy' being good is in conflict to my personal views, other than that, I loved the book. Also, I expected more 'intimacy' than the book delivered.

This was the first novel I have read by Heather and her writing style and the way she kept the reader engaged in the story with little twists and turns kept me reading. I started to fall in love w

I got this book for free on kindle and man am I glad I didn't pay a nickel for it... I found myself hurrying to get through this book because I just wanted it to be over. The climax sucked. I felt like something bigger and more emotion evoking should have happened taken the events leading up to the end. The main character should have been way more upset and traumatized by all the things that happened to her in this book. She showed hardly any emotion at all. People she cares about die right in f ...more

This wasn't my favorite book of Heather Huffman but it was still certainly a good book. She stepped away from human trafficking and I think that's what I enjoyed most about her books. The thought there were still some really great people out there trying and risking their lives to save another's. This one had the same theme but not the same topic. It was still a thrilling read and I would recommend it to anyone. Heather Huffman is one of my favorite author's at the moment and I'm glad that Goodr ...more

Won a copy through Goodreads' First Reads program.

Story moves along at a good pace and keeps you interested. I didn’t realize this was part of a series, and I haven’t read the others. I was not confused for felt I needed to refer to previous story to follow along.

I won this book on a blog. Too bad I didn't read enough reviews first. Way too spicy for me. It's sad because I was enjoying the story.

Loved it! It's predictable, but you still have to love when things happen that you want to happen!

Really poor techno thriller written by someone who should not include science or math in her romances.
An entertaining romance and a precocious teenage princess combined with suspense and danger.

This is classic Heather Huffman. Suspense, drama, action, with a little romance on the side.
