Surprisingly weak collection, despite having stories from several of my favorite authors within...
And technically, the stories shouldn't be called bad, as there aren't many egregious plot errors & things of that ilk. The stories are just ... Boring.
I particularly wondered why because the story from Alan Dean Foster failed to grab on, but the writing style was not typical for him either. Had the same feeling from the story by Janet Kagan, though there's much less of her other writing to compare to
But, end results still same so...

AM was a pretty good anthology, I thought. Some material that I'd read before, but some very interesting new material as well. However, as I'm not a big fan of short fiction collections, I'm unlikely to ever read it again.

Some decent stories here,but nothing that really stood out. Some of the efforts seem kind of amateurish and unpolished.
