Thanksgiving is right around the corner and excitement is in the air. Pete and Dana's wedding is on the horizon, and Pete is making all kinds of changes in his life. While he's busy redecorating his apartment for his new bride, Christopher is organizing a canned food drive at school and gets so wrapped up in collecting the most cans that he forgets all about helping the needy. His drive to win leads the Stevenson family to a valuable lesson about honesty. Meanwhile, Sam is intent on winning a soccer scholarship to college--no matter how unlikely--and Emily is feeling left out when her best friend Ashley starts hanging out with a boy and no longer has time for her.
But when a fire break out in the tractor shed, all of the family's dreams may go up in smoke, and they have to come together and look to their faith to rebuild their home and their hearts.

A fire happens on the farm, did Christopher with his lighting rod experiment cause the fire? Will Emily and Ashley stay friends after Emily starts hanging out with Ryan, and does Emily also keep her friendship with Hunter? What is Sam thinking about college? Also, what happens when Christopher is picked to be the leader of the can food drive? How does the family handle the after math of the fire? Such a good book! Read the book to find out?

The series just keeps getting better and better. The kids, Pete and Dana, Charlotte and Bob seem like real people with real problems. I love it that Charlotte goes to the Lord with everything.
