I would give this 2.5 stars...mostly because the information in the book is a little dated and not quite up to par with what is current in the field. Having said that, the essays to introduce the world of archives were interesting and had some snippets of information that would be useful in 2011. I have found while reading about archives and archival science the articles in journals are more current...the books are less so. But, I understand why they haven't come out with new ones...who would buy them?

Foundational work on the process of archives. Lots has changed but this is a good history and starting point.
