The Gotham City Zoo has gone bananas! With Gorilla Grodd on the loose, Batman and Superman must join forces to put an end to the monkey business and save Gotham City.
It was my 5 yr old's reading choice for today. Taking a little break from the learning books to give him a chance to enjoy reading. This was one of his favorites. Great level 2 book. Not too hard and not too easy. Just right.
I legitimately like this book. Grodd is one of my favorite super villains, and the author does a good job capturing Batman's personality. ("How can I stop Superman without hurting him?" Batman wondered.)
Top questions from my 3-year-old while reading this one: Why Grodd not wearing shoes? Why apes got feet that look like hands? Why did Batman jump out of the way? What's Grodd doin'?
This was a pretty good superhero book for little kids. The plot and pictures were unintentionally funny (at least to my nephew and me), but it was enjoyable! No, actually, it was hysterical! We laughed our heads off at this one, and then my nephew showed it to my niece, and they guffawed over the story. It was great!
Depending on their age, some kids might find this to be a little bit intense, but if the grown-ups are giggling and eye-rolling, the scary will probably be neutralized quite significantly.
This book is a fun adventerous book that introduce two super heroes. This book is an easy read and can give little boys (and girls) a sense of what friendship is. I would have this in my classroom for all my students and allow for them to be creative in their own writing and acting. Imagination is key :)
I read these books 2 years ago to my son.Now he can easily read them. Today he read this to his younger sister and I so they could both get their check marks in our family reading challenge. they love reading about the heroes they watch.
