Having read vol I several years ago, I finally got back to this three volume history at a time when I can more clearly understand these amazing events. I loved both volumes, filled with the events of this historic exploration from the Mississippi to the Pacific Ocean; with insight into native tribes; and information on flora and fauna, some heretofore unknown by the civilized world. What an incredible event for mankind, and America specifically! I thoroughly enjoyed being engrossed in the groups daily lives with their many trials and their wonderful discoveries. These are the actual diaries and writings of Lewis and Clark and their men. I loved getting to know them better and also Sacajawea better, by the way! So inspiring!
