Oh, this was better than book #1. 4 solid ♥'s. But then again, who doesn't love a good cat fight? Er, well, female werewolves fight?

Amber was someone you could easily love to hate. Poor Darcy and Mason, just trying to reach that mating ritual finish line and they just can't get a break! It was also nice finding out more about some of the other characters, and I have to admit I rather enjoy the vampires we've been introduced to so far. Even Mr. I'm-the-dorkiest-vampire-ever (God helps us all if he even gets his hands on the Night Huntress series and further tries to 'emulate' the literary vamps rather than be himself.)

Belinda... what are you doing to your readers with these endings? It's not just a hook into the next book- you're lucky I've got Testing Fate here on my little defenseless Kindle and ready to read. Had I needed to wait, there could have been some anger issues.

I received a free eBook from Belinda Boring in exchange for a review.

I don't know how but Belinda Boring has out done herself with this book!!! It was better then the first one. Darcy and Mason are still in love as ever but the action just keeps coming at them from all sides. No sooner have they gotten through Jasmine's death and Darcy getting kidnapped by Avery then they are under attack from someone from Mason's past. That chick was seriously delusional. The way that everything came together was fantastic. When i got to the end of the book I screamed in frustration! The woman is seriously the cliffhanger queen!! I am anxiously awaiting the next installment. If you haven't read this book yet then you defiantly should it is well worth it.

The cover:

This is Amber?? If so, I can see why she has no idea why Mason is in love with Darcy. Darcy should be much more prettier than Amber, but I can’t see that.

The cover however, I love :).

The storyline:

This book really surprised me, a lot!

It exceeded my expectations to be honest, because I didn’t like the first book, I thought this one too will disappoint me, but it didn’t!

The story continues exactly from where the first book left off with Darcy facing the new enemy, Amber. From there, new revelations are discovered as well as new twists, mysteries, new friendships and enemies made.

I got to see other sides of the characters (both good and bad sides) and also got the opportunity to know the secondary characters and some of the Pack’s past in the area.

What I Liked:

- The writing improved a lot and you notice the improve immediately when you start reading from page one. It got smoother and the pace became easier to follow.

- I found myself familiar with the characters and their surroundings which helped me enjoy the new plot.

- The twists and the amount of action added were very well done.

- Less kissing and touching (finally!!) made it possible for the real storyline to develop and for us (who don’t like romance) to enjoy the book more.

- I really loved the concept of different and mystical supernatural creatures living together and how Werewolves and Vampires seem to be close friends and allies.

- The ending!! What is it with me and cliff hanging endings?! I wouldn’t imagine what happened to happen at all despite the fact that I knew Amber was hiding something.

What I didn’t like:

- Mainly, one thing, Darcy! Okay, so the author, Belinda, made Darcy act and sound like a complete teenager whenever Mason was around, and Darcy kept saying how much she loved him and that all she wanted was him, and then all of a second, after a brief conversation with Vlad (no not Dracula, but Devlin’s nephew) she begins noticing how handsome Devlin is!! And she starts to act and think in a way that I got embarrassed in her place by just reading it!

I thought it was a bad thing for the author to do. This story does not need a love triangle or a stupid protagonist who’s controlled by words and hormones.

- What Also bothered me in the book was the repetition of certain words and expressions I almost ripped my eyes out each time I found them again! I want give you examples for two reasons: one, I’ll spoil the book and two, some of those excruciating expressions aren’t suitable for a YA book blog.

The characters:

Mason: My respect for him grew. He’s a true Alpha and deserves his title. He keeps everyone organized and thinking in the right direction no matter what. Despite what he goes through in this book, he fights it fairly, honestly and intelligently.

Darcy: She’s a pain in the head. Mason was right when he said “Trouble is her middle name” because it is! Wherever she goes trouble goes with her, however, she showed a huge amount of will power and strength, an ability to keep calm when needed and her true loyalty and dedication to do whatever it takes to keep her Pack safe. I admire that.

Daniel: A very trust worthy second in command guy. A big brother and best friend to both Mason and Daniel. He shows support and courage throughout the book. Daniel is the best friend everyone needs.

Devlin: Is the type of best friend I want. He’s a very honorable and trust worthy vampire who loves Darcy as a friend or more and would do anything to keep her safe (reminds me of Elijah actually from The Vampire Diaries). He’s also a very trust worthy friend of Mason’s. He played a great role in this book and will (as I suspect) in the next sequel, Tempting fate.

Vivien: A very powerful witch who’s also a friend of Mason, Darcy and her mother. She’s very protective of her friends and doesn’t show her emotions most of the time.

Amber: Ah, I was going to skip over her because I don’t won’t to spoil the review, but I’ll try to speak of her without doing so, shall I? Amber in an old friend and crush of Mason. She, along with her father, where seeking power by making Mason mate with her. but when things got clear and Mason got to see the real her (thanks to Daniel) he canceled the mating ritual. Since then, which was five years ago from the date of the book, she’s been trying so badly to get back to Mason and failed miserably each time. But when she gets back this time, she comes prepared and determined to eradicate Darcy and win Mason to her side forever. This is what Forget Me Not is all about. So yes, Amber is the villain in here and you won’t be disappointed with what she’s got up her sleeve.

Other characters worth mentioning are: Vlad, Devlin’s nephew and newborn. Zane, the Vampire King, and The Fates.

Favorite quotes:

Surprisingly so, I have many favorite quotes, but as usual here are three random ones :).

I hadn’t been to visit Devlin since his young nephew had moved in, and when I’d gone exploring through the different rooms to see if anything had changed, I wasn’t prepared for the massive black coffin resting on a makeshift platform displayed in the center of the bedroom. --- Chapter 15.

Take her for instance.” He paused long enough to look at the television screen. “Buffy loves Angel, but then along comes Spike. Two different vampires, and she winds up loving them both. I read the fan pages all over the internet, these two males have large followings, but when I assume their personalities, I get nothing. --- Chapter 17.

I loved everything about Devlin’s study, and it was probably one of my favorite places in the house. Floor to ceiling bookshelves with volume after volume of books covered most of the walls, and the whole room had a warm, comfortable feel to it. --- Chapter 18.

Conclusion:

This book was good.

I could see why I could love it, it has a unique storyline and writing style with plenty of twists and action.

I want the third installment in the series, Tempting Fate, now!

I have always gravitated toward books and TV shows/movies that contain vampires and werewolves. There is just something so appealing and sexy. Exactly like the characters portrayed in Belinda's novels.

Sexy Alpha Werewolf - Check
Sexy sidekick Werewolf- Check
Sexy Vampire- Check

Now tell me why you haven't read this book people?

When the last book The Mystic Wolves ended I was like "Oh No She Didn't" ( I used my fake ghetto voice too it was very dramatic in my head) I might have added a certain "B" word in there but I like to keep my reviews curse word free. Mason and Darcy just can't catch a break which always keeps it interesting.

Besides the Alpha male and his female my favorite character is Daniel he was great because he brought humor to the perfect moments. If Mason wasn't so perfect for Darcy then I would go TEAM DANIEL or maybe TEAM DEVLIN because I fell in love with him.

Let's talk Amber. Hate her. but that was her intended purpose I get that but ugh I don't think I have hated a character this much since the horrible girl from Croak by Gina Damico. I tend to never despise villainsbut I really hated Amber.

My favorite scene from the entire book was Vlad watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Best show ever! That just made me die laughing. Then he discussed the Buffy/ Angel/ Spike love triangle lol.

I absolutely love this series and can not wait for the next one in the series because of the crazy cliff hanger. Which confused me slightly if they were fated why was it problematic for the fate to push it along?

Go Read this book now!!!

I really enjoyed the first book ( The Mystic Wolves) and after finishing it, I couldn't wait for the second. Darcy and Mason are so great together! I love them. Darcy is strong, independent and defends those she loves. Mason is perfect for her, he gives her something to challenge and lets her be herself. They would got to the ends of the universe for each other.
I really liked this book, it showed more of their past and background while moving forward in their story. I also like that we got to know more about Devlin. It was interesting and fun and never boring.
From the very beginning, I just wanted to throw something at Amber. I hate when people are fake and try to get into people's lives to ruin them. Ugh I didn't like her at all.
I love Daniel. He is so nice and sweet. He is a great best friend to Mason and great to Darcy too. I found Vlad very entertaining!
One part that really got to me was when Darcy was ill because of the spell and she was having nightmare about losing her wolf and Mason. It was sad and she must have felt like her heart was breaking twice. Another part that got me was when Mason came into the old Pack Master house where Amber and Darcy were, but this time I was like YAY!
After everything got worked out in the end, I was happy and was thinking that they were finally going to do their mating ritual but then BAM, a whole new book!
I can NOT wait to read the next book!!

My book review of

Forget Me Not  (#2 of the Mystic Wolves series
By the Unbelievable Belinda Boring

Ok here is my checklist:  No dinner check, house not cleaned check, son feeling neglected check, check.  Start and finish Forget Me Not by Belinda Boring done, priceless.  She has done it again.  Started the book and couldn't put it down.  How much needs to happen to poor Darcy and Mason till they could finally have their mating ceremony.  Throw in the sexy and gorgeous vampire Devlin doesn't even disappoint me in the very least.  And Devlin's nephew Vlad is a riot.   This ride that Belinda takes us on is so vivid you caught up in the story that you forget it is a story because you want to reach in the book and scratch Ambers eyes out and choke her to death.  The love that Darcy and Mason have is so intense and exhilarating you forget that they cant mate before the ceremony so you are hot and frustrated that you need to take a cold shower.  Belinda writes the book with consideration and cares for her writers that she makes it able to be read by a young adult without it being to sexy.  She puts taste in her books.  I for one can't wait till book 3 Testing Fate comes out because I have to know what happened on the Grand Canyonof cliffhangers that she left me hanging from.  Definitely a 50 star rating.....

I really enjoyed this, I just hope that Vlad has the wrong impression of how Devlin feels about Darcy! I thought from the last books that he saw his dead sister when he looked at Darcy but Vlad thinks it's more and that would be really awkward considering! The ending was a surprise and makes me wonder what's gonna happen in the next book. I really hate Amber and hope that Darcy and Mason will finally get to be together and be mated in the next book. Guess I'll have to wait and see when it's released!

This book takes place immediately where book one leaves off. I really enjoyed this book and like the series a lot. I found that it sucked me in from the first page and I could not put it down until I had finished it. The only problem I have with this book is the ending. I know a lot of people love cliff hangers, but I really wanted some closure for the two main characters.

Omg,I am so mad right now! First of all I loved this book even more than the first one, but if I could go through my kindle and slap Amber I would.I have had enough of that @&#$. Everytime I thought Mason and Darcy were gonna be able to get rid of that twit and live their lives she would find a way to show her face again. The cliff hanger is devastating.... I need book 3 NOW.....

I surprised myself! I was not impressed with the first book and had no intentions of reading #2. I came across a free copy on Wattpad (accompanied with a little time on my hands). I decided to read the first chapter.

This was much better than the first book. Darcy, Mason, Daniel and Devlin show more of their character. Darcy begins to grow a backbone and exhibits signs of maturity. Mason and Daniel are ever faithful. There was even a part where the visual had me laughing out loud.

I still have issues with the make out scenes (especially sans clothing), but nothing happening. Not saying that people can't restrain themselves, but playing with fire usually burns. Just saying. I found myself rolling my eyes and skipping/skimming those parts. I was happy that there seemed to be fewer moments like that in this book.

I like that the language in this book is clean. There was a little humor, suspense, lots of love and obsession. I am not a fan of cliffhanger endings that try to force you to purchase the next book. The hanger was an interesting turn of events. I may get the third book. I am curious about Devlin and hope to learn more about Daniel while on this Mystic journey.

Oh, chick should've paid for the dress. Just sayin!

The drama ramps up in Forget Me Not as Darcy and Mason’s bond is challenged by deception, jealousy, and dark magic. The emotional stakes are high, especially with the arrival of a rival claiming to be Mason’s true mate. The pacing is fast and tension-filled, and while the love triangle trope is familiar, Darcy’s unwavering strength and the tight-knit Pack dynamic keep it compelling. Devlin’s expanded role adds intrigue and sparks, hinting at more layered conflicts to come.

I said it before and I will say it again: when I look up the word "romance" in the dictionary, I expect Merriam-Webster to make a change and add Belinda Boring's name. I never considered myself much of a werewolf fan since vampires were my favorite paranormal characters--until I discovered Ms. Borings' Mystic Wolves series. Now my bloodsuckers have to share the throne for the top spot on my list. In Mystic Wolves, we are introduced to Darcy in a tension-packed opening scene. This novel contains what used to be the first three novellas (Without Mercy, Cherished and Blood Oath) which is wonderful since new readers don't have to wait for the next title to be published--they're all contained in one volume.

Darcy is my favorite kind of heroine: strong yet vulnerable, mature (most of the time-she has her moments of sticking out her tongue), headstrong, faithful and loving. Her future mate, Mason, is the epitome of what every male alpha should be with his undeniable power, protective instinct and care. What made me love this series so much is the incredible amount of chemistry, feeling, romance and love shared between this couple. Their story has heart and warmth and I genuinely care for them and whatever plights befall them. Call me a diehard fangirl because I am. Action, intrigue, conflict, and tons of romance sets this series above others I've read.

With the nail-biting ending of Mystic Wolves, Forget Me Not continues with the new wolf in the house: Amber. A secret is revealed which threatens to turn Darcy's world upside down but Mason won't allow it. With close pack friend, Daniel and vampire Enforcer extraordinaire Devlin, Mason is ensured his mate-to-be is protected from someone threatening their upcoming union. Why has Amber shown up and can they believe her request for asylum when she has an established past with Mason?

Darcy steps it up in the second book, letting her wolf come forward whenever her relationship with Mason is jeopardized. We also get to see the greatness of Devlin (and the comical comments of Vlad) as the Enforcer steps up help out. Talk about swoon! Ms. Boring is not called the Queen of Swoon for no reason. Her scenes with Darcy and Mason are utterly romantic. Caresses, glances, murmurs, and long lasting kisses are certain to light up a fireplace (even if you don't have one). What I love about the Mystic Wolves series is they're unabashedly romantic. There's no dominating male or abuse found here, just pure love.

And can I profess how much I love Daniel and Mason? These guys needs love stories! Both are selfless in the way they jump to help Mason and Darcy. The addition of the powerful witch Vivianne and the way she unravels a mystery involving a cursed piece of jewelry was very cool. This supernatural world is filled with heavy-hitters and yet they treat everyone with respect, even when they have ass kicking skills.

Again, Ms. Boring leaves us with a zinger of an ending. The Queen of Swoon is also the Queen of Heartbreak for leaving readers panting for more. (http://www.readergirlsblog.com/2013/0...)

We pick up where we left off in book 1 with Amber's appearance at the house and her declaration that she is Mason's true mate. That was very ballsy of her to just walk right up to a man and just ignore / disregard the woman he was standing with. Interestingly enough though, I wanted to hit him over the head for not stopping her before she touched him. It was actually a bit contradictory from his behavior throughout the remainder of the book. The Mason I have come to know and love, the strong Alpha who is head over heels in love with Darcy would never have let another woman whom he despised touch him for even a second. Being shocked she was there is one thing, but not enough to unman him. I have not seen that response in him yet, and this scenario was definitely not the spot I would have expected to see him react that way. However, he redeems himself as we progress through the book.

Amber...wow, talk about someone who I honestly thought they were misjudging at times. Darcy, Daniel, and Mason were pretty adamant that she was there to cause trouble, but you just didn't get that feel for most of the book. Yes, she showed up claiming to be the mate of Mason, but her behavior for most of the book was not bad. She talked to others, she tried to talk to Mason, she tried to get close to Darcy, but she didn't do anything that would indicate she was doing anything to harm anyone. When Darcy gets sick, it is sudden and quick to incapacitate her. From this point on, Devlin, Daniel, Mason, and Darcy are searching for what caused her to get sick and who was behind it. Did I mention that I love Daniel and Devlin too? The men are definitely my favorite characters, and very swoon worthy.

Then wham, once they do determine what caused Darcy to get sick, who was behind it, and what else was coming, you start to see the side of Amber she hid so well. Some would say the author did a bad job at portraying Amber as the "bad guy". Others would say it was kind of clever, and gave Amber a chance to indict Darcy there at the end. For my part, I didn't find it obvious which is why I enjoyed this story...aside from the hot men of course. What I can say I was a bit worried about was Darcy and Devlin. The scene in his study where she becomes aware of how attractive he is and Vlad's comments about Devlin's feelings for her, and her subsequent thoughts on that upset me a little. One of the main things I loved about this series is that Darcy and Mason were already a done deal...that nothing could come between them, so seeing her reaction, even for second did not sit well with me. It was the same reaction I had to the opening scene with Amber and Mason. Aside from that and the cliffhanger at the end, I thought this was a great follow up to book one. Yet another challenge faced and nearly won. Unlike book 1 where Avery bit the dust, Amber just won't make it easy to get rid of her. On to book 3!

Book Synopsis

Only a fool would think they could steal from a werewolf …

Anticipating a quiet night alone with the man she loves, Darcy’s world is sent into a spin with the arrival of someone from the past—Mason’s. She is further shocked by the intruder’s claim she may not even be the true mate of the Mystic Wolves Alpha. Accusations start to fly, leading to her new enemy being granted asylum, and this is just the beginning of trouble.

Relying on the reassurances of Mason and the support of her friends and Pack, Darcy soon falls under attack. Suspicions are raised, and with no other choice, she must flee with Devlin to safety where hopefully they can untangle the lies hidden behind the use of magic. Time is quickly ticking away, leading to a showdown where everything is on the line.

They need to uncover the truth before it’s too late, or once again, Darcy will need to fight to hold onto her dreams.

My Thoughts

Forget Me Not picks up with the cliff hanger that ended book 1, Without Mercy.

The arrival of the mysterious Amber, the self proclaimed "Real future mate" for Mason puts Darcy's world into a tailspin. Lies, deceptions and cruelly harmful intentions are soon revealed when it becomes apparent to Darcy, Mason and Daniel that there is nothing Amber will not do to claim what she feels is hers by right!

The passion that Darcy and Mason feel for each other, the love they share, the very future of they and their pack is once again threatened by outside forces. It is a testament to the authors skill in portraying each character in this series that once again the reader is drawn in deep and fast to the story, not putting the book down until all is revealed, the treacherous villain is dealt with, the final showdown is at hand and the last page is turned!

If ever there were two characters who were truly "fated" to be together it is Mason and Darcy. Once again though we are left with an ending that leaves the future of these two lovers hanging in the balance. Will they ever catch a break and have their HEA? Waiting to find out what happens next in book 3, "Testing Fate", is going to be so excruciating but I have the feeling it will be worth it!

For anyone who loves sweet romance mixed with wicked heat, anyone who enjoys dramatic beginnings and endings to a story, anyone who enjoys reading about a vampire who is trying to find his own identity by dressing up in the most outlandish ways he can find and brings a bit of lightness with humorous snark than you will enjoy this second foray into the world of The Mystic Wolves and their friends.

First time I read Belinda Boring was last year, when she debuted with her novella, Without Mercy and I fell in love with her style of writing as well as her characters. So when she asked me to review Forget Me Not I accepted immediately.

So before starting Forget Me Not, I decided to read Mystic Wolves first(which is the combination of the first two novella's I read previously.) . I quickly read it, and then moved on to Forget Me Not . Let me just say, she did it again!! I was on a roller coaster of emotions with this book. She made me laugh, angry(that's an understatement there) and in shock . And those kisses, let me say this book is full of hot steamy kisses. I will also say I certainly can relate to Darcy's frustration.

Revisiting Darcy and Mason was like visiting family you haven't seen in awhile, it was pure joy. I was also so happy to see Daniel and Devilin as well. I seriously hope she gives them each a book because I absolutely love the both of them. I also wouldn't mind a book with Zane and Vivian . I'm not asking for much am I ? Oh and I can't forget Vlad, in the first book I wasn't sure how I felt about him but in this one we got to see more of him and his personality, he is truly a fun character I want to read more of.

Now we are to the villain of this story, Belinda did a wonderful job with this character, because even though I knew this person was evil , she had me questioning a time or two maybe not so bad after all. I hated this person then I was so so then back to hate.

Last but certainly not least, the ending... Why?? Why did she have to leave it like that? I can't say I hate cliffhangers but I can't say I love them either and this one was a big one. My jaw dropped and I practically screamed at my Kindle... NO!

Overall, this is a fantastic continuation of this series , now I have to wait for the next book, Testing Fate. Which I think I read will be in December if all goes right. I wish it was sooner because I don't know if I can wait that long.

If you haven't read this series, you should in fact go do it now. It will suck you in and not let you go until the very last page. Well worth the time , lack of sleep and money.

Love makes people believe and do crazy things!!! I thoroughly enjoyed this book but now I'm bummed because I have for "Testing Fate" to come out to figure out what happens next. The Mystic Wolves series slightly touches on the myth's I've read as a child and long forgotten. It definitely makes me want to rehash what I've missed regarding the ancient Greek myths...:). The love between Darcy & Mason is extraordinary and unquestionably strong. With all that happens and the events that intercepts their love for each other you can't help but instill the faith back into yourself that love truly does conquer all. All of their make out sessions and intense and sexy. There's no denying their attraction for each other which makes reading further so intense because you keep wondering what's going to happen next. I was scared to read on at one point because I'm scared to find out if Darcy's going to die or not or if there's a painstakingly horrible event that would take Mason's love away from Darcy. I'm intrigued by Devlin's character and the part he plays in Darcy's life. She mentions she's known him for a long while but what does that mean. Did she know him before she met Mason? What's their history? The love he has for her, is that sibling love, mate love or paternal love? In the first book Avery says something about Darcy's blood (maybe not in a lot of words) being interesting. Is she a piece vampire? (Now MY imaginations running wild) Daniel is funny, strong and very carefree. He's a confident being and I love his devotion and protective character. I'm interested in reading further of his progression and the role he plays. Will he ever settle down? Anyhoos, Belinda Boring is an exceptional writer and I liked how the storyline flowed. There's always a calm before the storm and when it rains it pours. I can't wait to see what Fate has in store for Darcy & Mason in "Testing Fate". Will the storm ever end? ^_^

Forget me not by Belinda boring

3 Stars

Book two of the Mystic Wolves series was a definite improvement on book one. The lack of background information in the first book wasn’t an issue here, which made the whole thing a lot less frustrating. Also a much better job had been done on the editing.

I still found the execution of the plot disappointing. The scorned ex girlfriend trying to wrangle her way back into Masons life had great potential for an exciting, drama ridden read. It fell short of that on many counts, and the book was severely let down.

Amber could have been more conniving, more cunning and more calculating in order to work her way back into Masons good books. Instead we were left feeling flat with lack of tension and nothing more than a young girl telling a few lies. Just as I thought it was going to get good when Darcy fell ill, she was cured before we had any fear for her life, and even the wind up to the big showdown didn’t build up enough pressure to blow up, it just fizzled out with a pair of silver hand cuffs and an after explanation of how Mason had fought the magic Amber had tried to use on him.

It was interesting how Belinda name dropped J R Ward’s ‘BDB’ and Stephanie Meyers Twilight series. Both of which are sets of books devoured by Vampire & werewolf junkies and I’m sure Belinda has the ambition to be in the same league as those writers. She isn’t there yet. I am pleased to see that she didn’t borrow ideas from those books, although her plot lines are not unique they didn’t follow the path of those particular series’.

‘Forget Me Not’ is a quick read, I finished in one sitting, and as my blog is included on the blog stop tour, during the next few weeks I will be reading book three in the series ‘Testing Fate’. I am looking forward to it, if it shows the level of improvement I saw between book one and two, I could be in for an exciting read.

Mason and Darcy are having a romantic dinner at home alone when there is a knock at the door. Enter a woman who claims to be Mason's betrothed and is a bit of a, well bitch. Mason quickly sets the record straight in that it was an arranged marriage between her father and his, and it was not upheld by the council. Now she wants refugee with the Mystic Wolves. This sounds like nothing but problems.

The next morning Daniel, Mason's best friend and second in charge sits Darcy down and tells her how things were when Amber was around the first tie, what she was like and what happened to drive her off. Of course not everyone in the pack got to see that side of her, but enough did.

This is the second book in the Mystic Wolves series, and the amazing romance between Darcy and Mason that was started in the first continues and grows in this book. Usually when an ex or former flame shows up, there is doubt or questions in the romance, but that is not the case with Darcy and Mason, they seem to know that what they have is so deep and so real, and they are not afraid of her, they just grow stronger with everything she throws at them.

The so enjoy the way that the author is able to build a romance that is not built on sex alone, but on a true emotional and mental connection. These two are soul mates if I ever saw a pair of soulmates, and they give hope that every one out there has a soul mate out there meant just for them.

The book is not marketed as young adult, but with the purity until marriage theme, I am comfortable allowing my teenage daughter to read it. Having said that, there are a couple of her friends of the same age that I would not want to read this book, the maturity level of the reader is something that would have to be addressed.

My love for werewolves drew me to the Mystic Wolves series long before I started writing book reviews. I tried desperately to win The Mystic Wolves (book 1) when it came out, but ended up getting it when it came available on Amazon for free one day. Imagine my excitement when the second book in the series became available for a book tour from Promotional Book Tours! I had to have! I was not disappointed either! The first book ended with Darcy an Mason's make out session being interrupted by another werewolf claiming to be Mason's future mate. I was shocked and desperate to find out what would happen. Darcy shows tremendous restraint by not destroying Amber, the wannabe mate. Granted Mason had to hold her back a few times, but I know I would have torn her to pieces if I had been Darcy. Things get really crazy for them when Amber claims asylum, which means she is seeking a place of safety for fear that her life is in danger. Who threatens her and why? Well she claims her dad is going to kill her or do extreme bodily harm to her if she returns to her pack without marrying Mason. What on earth would cause such drastic measures? Well it turns out Mason and Amber have an extensive history. I'm not going to rehash it because that is the bulk of the story.

You will be shocked at the lengths that Amber goes through to get rid of Darcy and to win over Mason. You will be even more shocked at how this story ends! I must say that Belinda Boring has a knack for leaving you hanging and wanting more. I can't wait for the next one and am hoping it comes with a book tour as well.

I normally do not like reading authors who do cliffhangers. If the book is good enough, you as the reader should want to read what happens next. Because of this, I stopped reading the series until all the books were released. Mason and Darcy, yes we know you are in love...but never "see" what made them fall in love. Unless there is a prequel that I haven't found, we as the readers are missing a huge gap of their relationship. Mason to me doesn't read as Alpha.. I seem to gravitate toward the characters of Devlin and Daniel more than Mason. At the end, I was so excited someone was going to pay for all the damage they caused...but no, plot twist with a nice, evil cliffhanger.
