I happened upon this book and thought the cartoonish baby Ernie was cute. It's a fast read and a board book, so is good for very young children. And the rhyming narrative and colorful illustrations are age appropriate. But the 'turn the book over and read from the back' gimmick is not well-thought out and I think the book would have been much better if it just kept those pages in line with the rest of the book, as a sequential passing of a day with Ernie. The way it is formatted now is just weird and confusing.
