Sweetness, blow jobs, and a puppy too!

Ryan and Scott are the Perfect Couple. They are so in lust and love after three years together, it hurts. But in a good way, because how can you not want all the happy and fluffy for these two?

Scott, going for Best Boyfriend of the Year, agrees to spend Christmas with Ryan's family, even though Ryan's mom is possibly the most passive-aggressive bitch of all time. I wanted to shake some compassion into her. It's not all about money, lady. Stop shitting on yo
Everyone repeat after me:

I read Phonebook last week and liked it well enough. It was short, cute, and sexy. But I needed more of Ryan and Scott, something beyond just a quickie and some "I-love-yous" thrown in. 'Puppy, Car, and Snow' continued their story perfectly, and gave me the emotional connection and romance, as well as the hot sexin'.

'Fluff' is an accurate description of Scott and Ryan's relationship. The two are sweet and fun. They spend their free time together, have a massiv

A really sweet and poignant story about established lovers headed out to spend Christmas with family. They have to deal with Ryan's disapproving mother who has no issue being pretty horrible to her son's partner. I really enjoyed Ryan and Scott's relationship. I liked how they worked together and how they were real devoted partners to each other. Lots of cute moments but never overly so, this is the third in a series and not having read the previous stories this had a real standalone feel to it. ...more

A nice conclusion to this short series.
In this one Ryan and Scott are still madly in love with each other after 3 years together. They are spending Christmas with Ryan’s family. But Ryan’s mother is not a big fan of Scott..

I really hated Ryan’s mom. She was such a bitch. If I were Ryan I would have left, not just threatened it.

I did feel that the proposal was a bit anti-climactic, but at least these guys got their HEA. I did like how happy they were with each other. You could just feel

I loved this series so much! And Scott is my favorite!
He's slutty (to Ryan only), clingy and love sex and Ryan love him so-so much.
Scott, in his old days before Ryan, when his boyfriend busy doing something else, he'd just find another boy friend .LOL.
But with Ryan, oh he just sad. But Ryan do anything to make Scott happy. Anything !
What a lovely couple !
Really really recommended this one !

Scott and Ryan have a great if not close to perfect relationship, the only blight seems to be Ryan's family.
Ryan's mother seems determined to be difficult and not like Scott, but will Christmas have a way of making things work out? :)
It's a sweet , feel good christmasy story!

Simple, beautiful, touching story. Ryan is solid and dependable and Scotty colors his world. The two of them complement each other perfectly and in dealing with Ryan's ice queen of a mother, the relationship shines. It feels like Christmas, the good parts and the work it can be but you feel the love shinning through most of all. It's a real treat.
Feb 18, 2013 rated it it was amazing is it I didn't know about this story and these guys before? Ryan and Scott are super sweet and boy are they ever meant for each other, the kids are adorable, Ryan's dad and sister are exactly how family should be, the brother-in-law is an idiot and Ryan's mother is a bitch!

Another great Amy Lane story that will warm your heart! I loved it.

I've made a pledge to myself, my husband, and my children that I will never be one of those awful mothers in law that is so judgmental and just nasty, that no one wants to be around. I've been blessed with one who seems to think it's an Olympic sport to throw barbs at me just to see how deep they can go. Her wonderful trick it to try and get them all in when my husband isn't with in ear shot, so it looks like I'm over reacting. The one good thing that came out of all this is my aforement

It should be noted that there are a couple of stories with this couple and it took me a while to figure that out because there is no mention of those stories on the blurb page at DSP. You don't NEED to have read them, but once I figured out who they were (I have read the others), it made more sense.

Ryan's family were okay with him being gay, they're just not okay with Scott. Ryan's highly driven mother has no respect for anyone whose primary purpose in life is not to claw their way to the top of

What can I say, another really good story by this author. I read the first two stories right before this one because they were short and to get the background on Ryan & Scott. Although how these two came together was a little far fetched, how they after three years was very heartwarming and sweet. This was a feel good christmasy read which leaves you with a smile.

A cute short story about two guys, Scott and Ryan, who have found each other, but who may have a hard time convincing Ryan's mother that they belong together, as they join the family for Christmas.

Ryan and Scott have been an established couple for three years. From the moment they met, they’ve had an intense and loving relationship between them. They live in a tiny apartment with their dog, Blitzkrieg, and have an all-around happy life together. One of the few niggles they have in their relationship is Ryan’s family. His mother does not believe that the carefree and fun-loving Scott is good enough for her corporate lawyer son, Ryan. She thinks that

If have ever borrowed an e-book from your library, then you know from experience the hurry up and wait syndrome. You are placed in the queue and sometimes you receive the books quickly and other times the wait seems forever. (I am 357th on the list for Still Alice by Lisa Genova.)

“Scott was his, all his, and not a soul in the world could doubt it or question it or accuse Scott of being anything but the other half of Ryan’s soul.”

With lines like that Puppy, Car, and Snow was worth the wait. Amy L

I love these characters. Their relationship is simple, as well as the plot line, but it doesn't take away from a lovely read.

i know this was supposed to be heart-warming, and it kinda was -- except that i wanted to dropkick ryan's arsehole of a mother into the next century. and i didn't like the implicit message that you're stuck with family and have to put up with whatever they put you through. ryan does try to run interference, and defends scott from every snide remark, but frankly, what this mother needed was a serious confrontation and an ultimatum: stop denigrating my partner, you sorry excuse for a human being, ...more

Short warm-hearted story. Third in a series (which I only just found out!)

An established couple visiting parents for Christmas. Scotty is sweet and undervalued as chief chef and childminder, Ryan is right to be besotted. They work well as a couple, complimenting each other and clearly in love. The dog isn't bad either.

Ryan's mother is a bit one dimensionable as a sucessful judgemental matriach, not unbelievable, but I was wishing someone would call her on it. Only real niggle I had was that afte

A simple, sweet, sometimes scandalous!, finale? to the story of Ryan and Scott.

They are settled, but still working through stuff – like life – and yet their love is readily apparent.

I know this wasn't recently published and not sure where this book fell in Amy Lane's career but I hve come to expect more from her. Ryan and Scott, truly a romantic pair with lots of love. This is third book in the series bringing closure to them. They are headed for what many consider the ultimate - marriage.

Book – Puppy, Car and Snow (Ryan and Scott #3)
Author – Amy Lane
Star rating - ★★★☆☆
No. of Pages - 92

Movie Potential – ★★☆☆☆
Ease of reading – easy to read, but POV is still confusing
Would I read it again – Probably not.

The relationship is further on in this story, but there's still the deep sense of dissatisfaction that the entire beginning of their relationship – the best part – was skimmed over and is only ever mentioned in short, sex-filled flashbacks. That doesn't really change much in this on
This is the third (and last) part of Ryan and Scott's story. The First one, telling of how they've met was a part of the Anthology "Curious? A Woman's Introduction to Gay Romance" I haven't read. I started from the second one - Phonebook when they are a formed couple.

I liked the second installment, it was sweet and sexy, liked the interaction between Ryan and Scott, they might be different but they are perfect for one another. In this one they have to struggle through the holidays with Ryan's fa

I can always trust on Lane for a sweet story, especially if it's around the holidays. I needed some cheering, so I picked this one up and found it to be a good mix of sweet, realistic, and funny. A great Christmas story.

I'm not familiar with Ryan and Scott's previous stories, but I think the background Lane provided gave enough facts that I wasn't lost while not rehashing it for those who are familiar with these two men. They have a Love-at-First-Sight background, but they've also s

The relationship between Ryan and Scott was so solid and real that I fell in love with them immediately. Amy Lane also portrayed the stresses that the holidays put on couples in such a funny and realistic manner that I could relate to all the family situations that Scott and Ryan encountered. Ryan's mother dearest is the reason that there are so many letters to Ask Amy and Carolyn Hax at this time of the year. Awful and so based upon dragon mothers out there (you know who you are) that I was sen ...more

I love these two! Scotty and Ryan are so cute together. The fact that they are so head over heels for each other is such a pleasure to read. This time out Scott and Ryan head to Ryan's family "cottage" in Tahoe for Christmas - much to Scotty's chagrin. It seems that Ryan's mother isn't very nice to him - ha! That's an understatement. I love how much fun Scotty and Ryan have together. The first scene is hilarious! I love Scotty with the kids. These guys would make such great dads (hint, hint). I ...more
This was such a good ending (?) for this series, and it was exactly what I needed. I loved these two, and have from the first story. You can just feel their love for each other in everything they do and say.

Scotty and Ryan have been together for three years, and for this Christmas, they are spending it at Ryan's family's cabin with Ryan's family. Neither of them are fully looking forward to it because of Ryan's mom and how she treats Scotty.

But even with all her passive-aggressive behavior, it

So, I know I've read all of the Ryan & Scott stories, but I couldn't tell you about the first two because it's been a couple of years. Fortunately, you don't have to re-read them in order to enjoy this one. Ryan & Scotty are awesome. And this time they're dealing with Ryan's mother, who has decided that Scotty isn't good enough for her boy because in her eyes, he doesn't give equally to the relationship. (As if that's her call to make.) This is a wonderful depiction of real family dynami ...more

This is just everything you'd expect and want in a Christmas story plus it has the added advantage of just enough spice to stop it being overly sweet.

I love how Amy Lane just throws in time jumps to casually emphasise the point about how much Ryan and Scott are in love.

This time the conflict comes from Ryan's frosty mother who can't get it into her head that Scott isn't a driven business minded man but is quite happy making his contribution to his life with Ryan.
