eventhou i'm not really like the scract that seem so rough but the story is ok.

it's about some guy name Sakuragi Hanamichi, that use to be a deliquent become basketball player because he like the basketball manager. the setting is in a high school.

Amazing volume that explains the preview between Shouhoku and Sannou and the start of the game. From Shouhoku's players expressions after seeing on a videotape (oh, those good old days) Sannou's game against Kainan (Hanamichi being the exception) to the special care Inoue shows to make their characters fully fleshed and tell us about their feelings, fears or desires before the big game, everything is top notch, really quality writing, touching and very very funny (even though Sannou's warm up ga ...more

Takehiko Inoue (井上雄彦) is a Japanese manga artist, best known for the basketball manga Slam Dunk, which has become a success both in Japan and overseas. Many of his works are about basketball, Inoue himself being a huge fan of the sport, and many Japanese children started to play basketball because they read the manga. This in turn helped make basketball popular in Japan and across East Asia.
