Moose works better on his own. People had let him down his entire life. He doesn’t need or want anyone in his personal space and business all day and night. Traveling the country as a nomad for his MC suits his solitary desires. Working odd jobs in whatever city he lands earns him more than enough to afford his simple lifestyle. He pops in on various club chapters when they need him but never sticks around long enough to lay down roots. The very idea of permanence and complicated human emotions gives him hives. Until the night he rescues a waitress at a truck stop diner.

Daisy gets under Moose’s skin so fast he never sees it coming. Before long, he wonders if he can make room for another person in his solo life. One who makes him feel things he’s never felt.

But before making any decisions, Moose must find a way to keep Daisy safe for more than one night. And that might mean relying on the people he typically keeps at a distance.

4.5 stars.
This book flew by for me.
Which might have something to do with the fact that the whole book takes place over, like, 2 days.
It was short, sweet, had that grumpy-sunshine thing going for it, and the chemistry between these two was absolute fire.
I loved it.
And that epilogue?
So sweet and sexy and perfect.

I would personally call this ‘MC Light’. In that Moose is a Nomad, so there’s no actual interaction with a club and all the thing that come with that.
The danger and action that happened was a direct result of Daisy’s junky, idiot brother completely fucking up her life.

Still.
I really enjoyed the read, and seeing Moose and Daisy get their HEA.

Solo Rider by Lilly Atlas was part of the Mayhem Maker series written by various romance MC authors. Although there are currently 40+ books in the series, this was only my second book of the series and all can be read as a standalone.

Moose was exactly as the title stated, a solo rider. He was a nomad for the MC (although I really don’t know which MC - I don’t think it ever said). He was restless and agreed to help his MC as needed but never stayed in one place for too long. One night in route to wherever the road took him, he stumbled on trouble for a waitress behind a diner. Enter Daisy. Daisy was hard working and was trying to get by in the world the best she could. She did pretty well until her junkie brother continued to bring trouble on her doorstep. Once Moose stepped in she had an ally.

I’m a huge Atlas fan but didn’t enjoy this one as well as her many others. Although I liked both characters and the storyline, I was desiring more. Otherwise, it was a quick afternoon read with tons of action and steamy scenes.

The Nomad Finds His Woman

Moose was a nomad through and through. He never stayed in one place too long and never had more than a one-night stand when needed but if his club ever needed him, he was there in a heartbeat. It was when he was on his way back to his club that he had seen a nice-looking waitress at a diner who was being harassed by some men. On his way back to his room from the diner that he heard her and he was off to the rescue.

Daisy’s life has been a hard one so when this biker showed up and saved her, she couldn’t have been happier. That happiness wouldn’t last long though because someone who was close to her was willing to let Daisy pay for his debt. It was Moose who came to her rescue once again.

I loved the connection between Moose and Daisy and how they brought out the best in each other. And as it is with this whole series, I love how this author brought out the famed MMM book signing gig. It was priceless with Moose in the middle of all the avid fans.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Moose works better on his own. People had let him down his entire life. He doesn't need or want anyone in his personal space and business all day and night.Traveling the country as a nomad for his MC suits his solitary desires. Working odd jobs in whatever city he lands to earn him more than enough to afford his simple lifestyle. He pops in on various club chapters when they need him but never sticks around long enough to lay down roots. The very idea of permanence and complicated human emotions gives him hives. Until the night he rescues a waitress at a truck stop diner Daisy gets under Moose's skin so fast he never sees it coming. Before longs, he wonders if he can make room for another person in his solo life. One who makes him feel things he's never felt. But before making any decisions, Moose must find a way to keep Daisy safe for more than one night. And that might mean relying on the people he typically keeps at a distance.

The nomad life really suits Moose to a tea. He loves it and he wouldn't have it any other way. He loves never staying in one place long at all. He doesn't do relationships or attachments or neighbors at all, ever. He is always thrilled when the club needs him to go to a new place and would do absolutely anything for his club. Stopping on a trip back to his home, he meets the cutest waitress at the cafe he stops at. But, she is being harassed by some men at the time and he doesn't really get involved until he hears her when he is going to his room for the night. Daisy doesn't have an easy life at all. I really felt for her but was so thrilled just like her when Moose helps her out of a tight spot. She for the first time in what feels like forever feels like she could be happy until once again she finds herself in a mess not of her own making and Moose has to help her out again. They really have to quit meeting this way. There is no denying even as a reader that there is an attraction that is so worth exploring between them. But with Daisy's life as it is and Moose being a nomad. Can they find a way to make things out and make them both happier than they have ever been in their life? You have to read to find out. I really loved this story. It was a quick read with some really amazing characters.

If you're looking for an MC romance to dip your toes into for the first time, this may be the book for you. It's more novella-length, so there's not a super long time commitment. It's also one hundred perfect standalone. No backstory. Nothing. What you see is what you get, and that's about perfect if you just want to see if this genre is something to get interested in. It's also Lilly Atlas, so you know it's going to be fantastic. The romance is spicy but not super over the top, and though the violence is there, it's not as crazy as some of these MC romances can get. Plus, it has a very nice HEA. Cute, cute story.

The only thing that you'll be missing is the actual "MC" of the MC romance. Moose does get help in the end, but he's a "Nomad," essentially a club member without a "home base" chapter (i.e. the area that branch of a particular MC is located). Many larger MCs are spread out all over the country and even the world, and there are chapters all over the place. The Big Four are crazy huge and even have support clubs, who have their back, but are still their own club. Nomads have a lot of freedom and, though I haven't done a ton of research on them, they can do tasks for different chapters. So, Moose is on the road quite a bit, doing his own thing. When he ends up in a small time an stops an altercation between a pretty waitress and some scummy people, he ends up helping her...and falling for her.

So, good stuff. I recommend it. Obviously, not your usually for this author, but still a lot of fun, nevertheless.

Loved the author’s Dedication. Make sure to check it out.

Moose could be my next best friend. He appears to like some of the same shows I watch regularly. Daisy has a good heart even if it’s sometimes misplaced. If you’ve never read this author before, this is a good place to start. Her book could also be a good introduction to this series since the books are all standalones.

Theirs is not a story that is all hearts ‘n flowers. Things get intense when someone close to Daisy does the unthinkable. Moose may have a tough exterior until it comes to Daisy. If you’re not aware, this series connects around an event that actually exists. If you read this review soon enough, you have time to check it out. I know that I’ll be checking out more of this author’s work so that I can see if some other characters that I met here might be found. Or you can check out the other books, and authors, that make up this year’s Mayhem Makers.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Moose is used to working on his own and he doesn't rely on anyone, until he has no choice. While on the road, he stops at a truck stop to eat and sees a a waitress that piques his interest. He decides to walk away and go back to his hotel for the night instead of hooking up. However, when he leaves the diner he hears something that makes him stop and listen. When he finds the waitress in trouble he steps in to help her, but now they both need to lay low or stand their ground. When Moose realizes that Daisy has been betrayed and she's in deeper than he can help her, he reaches out to the president of his closest chapter and finds the help needed to rescue Daisy.

I loved this story and the characters. I would love to read more about the bounty hunters that help Moose out. I've read a few of Lilly Atlas' books and have enjoyed them. I look forward to more of her books in the future. I give this book a 4.5 star review.

I'm 110% obsessed with the Mayhem Makers world that all these amazing authors took part in, and Solo Rider was definitely a perfect addition to the mayhem. Moose is a nomad from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet, and while he'll always be there for the MC he belongs to, he still prefers his own company. Daisy is a waitress that Moose comes across in his travels, and life hasn't been too kind to her, and yet, she still radiates sunshine. He ends up rescuing her from some men with nefarious intentions, and that's all she wrote for Moose, as Daisy turns his life upside down for the better. These two have heat in spades that's for sure, but they also compliment each other so much & I LOVED them together. However, there's still danger to Daisy's person so Moose isn't about to leave her to fend for herself, and maybe just maybe, this solitary biker will finally have the happily ever after he never thought he needed! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Moose & Daisy

The nomad's life is right for him. He's a brother but travels and only stops at club chapters when he's needed. That puts him in control and he doesn't have to deal with other people. That is until one pretty little waitress shows him how she can act despite the stress and unpleasant people she deals with. Still, he's ready to leave when he hears her in trouble and he rescues her. He can't just leave for the same guys he saved her from. But it isn't that simple.

Can her situation change him? Does he see someone who actually sees him for who he is? When he decides to let her go--danger changes his mind. When he learns more he vows to protect her. Can he do more? Will she change his need for solitude?

I hope we see more of these characters. I would love a series with them. Great characters, story, with plenty of heat.

Great story just to short!

Lily Atlas is one of my favorite authors and she didn't disappoint with Solo. Normally I don't read novella's but the story sounded good and anything by Lilly A is ALWAYS worth the read. This story did not disappoint. Moose is the hero we all wish we would find and he saves Daisy from both the villain and a boring life. He simply brings out the strong woman inside of her. We all need a Moose in our life. the end felt rushed but that's the curse of the novella. I love how the MMM was tied into the story line. I'm like Daisy in that I dream of going to this but life is to hectic.
My advice to others is Read Solo Rider!!!!

Moose is a monad biker. He meets Daisy and saves her from being attacked.he finds out her brother is responsible and he wants to help her out.
They have instant chemistry and they can't help falling into bed together.
when daisy is in trouble he realizes he doesn't want to be alone he needs her and stops st nothing to protect her.
Infant love but so hot. Moose is all a biker hero should be and Daisy is just the girl to heal his soul. Lilly Atlas always has great stories and this is no different . short read but packed full of heat.

Moose is a Nomad biker. Loves his club. The road and his bike is the only think he needs. He goes wherever his club needs him. On a busy stop he stops to help a waitress. Daisy never had it easy. So when Moose helps her out she’s lost for worlds. Now he’s back again to help her out of a bigger problem. Shes makes him think again about being a nomad. She might be the one to help him settle down and make some roots. Her hero in a black bike to the rescue.

Moose and Daisy

I loved this book. The connection and chemistry between them was amazing. Moose chose to be in his own out on the open road, but when Daisy came into his life didn't want to be alone anymore. Daisy was saved by Moose because her brother's debt put her in harm. I loved their banter and the ease he felt with her to say his story. This is a great read and I couldn't put it down.

4.5* Moose and Daisy cross paths

Moose and Daisy cross paths as he's stopped at a diner for food. She's being harassed by some other diners. Once he leaves he hears a distressed sound and finds Daisy being smacked around. It turns out Daisy's brother owes thos guy money. He immediately steps in to her defense and thud begins their love story.

Theirs is an Instalove between a nomad and a waitress. I loved Moose and his quiet ways.

I enjoyed this read 📚!

Great read!

Solo Rider by Lilly Atlas.

Really enjoyed this book. Lilly Atlas is a one click for me, so it was a no brainier to buy this one! New MC ties to the MMM Book Signing Event, but regardless... Great storyline that held my attention. I wanted to know what was going to happen. Kind of the normal MC book, except a little different because Moose is a Nomad. But still I kept needing to know the details! Kind of a Grumpy Sunshine story which I love!

Good- but no Hells Handlers

Lilly is a fantastic writer and all of her books are great. This one was a novella and I think I’m a bit spoiled from reading her other books.

The two main characters were cute and the story was good if a bit predictable.

It didn’t have the sparkle of some of her other books. I missed the MC brotherhood and some of the wit and banter she is so well known for.

I would definitely recommend it though.

I gave a 5 Star rating. Lilly Atlas is a very good writer. Love her MC books. Heads up this is not about Hell's Handlers or No Prisoners MC but still a good read.
Moose is a Nomad and a loner, going from his MC Chapter to Chapter helping his brothers when needed. He loves his life on the open road and being alone, until he meets Daisy.
Moose becomes Daisy's Knight in shining armor riding a steel horse when he rescues her from being attack by a couple of guys. From that moment Moose's life begins to change.
This is a novella and I think you will enjoy it.

Such a hit!!!

Wow!! Moose is such a loner and never feels like he needs to have any human contact until Daisy. Daisy has such a bright smile and personality that he can't help but be attracted to her. Then when he sees 2 grown men double her size beating on her, he can't help but come to her rescue. It is only hours that they have really known each other but they have gone through so much that they can't help but rely on each other.

2.5* - I like Lily Atlas' writing and have enjoyed most of her Hells Handlers MC books, esp Copper's story, but this is yet another biker nomad that falls instalove with a ..... you guessed it, a waitress. Are there no other jobs out there for women but waitress? How about electrician, carpenter, farmer....
LMAO really, this trope is getting real old. I think I like an actual gritty biker story better cause Biker Extra-Lite just won't do.

I really liked this book. It had action but also lovely bits too. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Moose and Daisy together, they met under horrible circumstances. But they find love along the way. Moose is a nomad and preferred being alone until he meets Daisy.

I highly recommend this book.

3.5ish? Fun little MC novella with a grumpy nomad rider and a sunshiny waitress with a shitty brother. Fairly instalovey to fit within the novella length, with most of the conflict coming from external forces. (There's a little "but he's leaving"/"but I'm a nomad" internal thinking, but that doesn't last for long.)

Fantastic read!!!

This author is always a 5-star read for me!!! I absolutely loved Daisy and Moose’s story.
He’s a larger than life Alphamale with a heart of gold who falls for the sweet beauty he meets on his travels. Mystery and drama along with plenty of super spice. Fantastic read and I loved the MMM convention scene!

Not a fan of the quick reads

Lived the idea of Moose, but it was way to fast. Twenty four hours and shes ready to ride oip ff with him. Sure it can happen but I like to invest in the characters. I will admit for such a short story the authir did a good job on back stories. I thought the whole MC convention vist was a bit swarmy. She should have gone to meet the club instead.

Great Scott!

Moose travels with no attachments except for that of his MC brothers. When he saves Daisy, he doesn't realize his whole life is about to change. I can always depend on Lilly Atlas to deliver a spectacular book. The characters are terrific. Action is non-stop and danger is cutting edge. HEA included.

Quick easy read!
Moose got his road name for being a solitary dude, but he doesn't mind the company of Daisy the waitress once they meet. Daisy has some family issues to work through before they can get to their HEA, though. To say the least lol
