John Milne was born in London in 1952. His many TV screenwriting credits include: Bergerac, East Enders, Lovejoy, The Bill, Boon, Taggart, Wycliffe and Silent Witness (for which he won an Edgar). He lives in Essex.

เทอมที่แล้วเราเริ่มอ่าน outside reading ก่อนสอบสองอาทิตย์ และค้นพบว่าลืม รูปลักษณ์ตัวละครไปหลายตัว เทอมนี้จึงเล่นสองวันก่อนสอบเลย ซึ่งอ่านไม่ทันค่า = =; ขอบคุณ SI ที่ทำสรุป วิเคราะห์แจก ไม่งั้นเราคงชวดคะแนนพาร์ทนี้ไปหลายคะแนน

มันเป็นเรื่องสั้นๆ ห้าเรื่องประกอบกัน ซึ่งอ่านเอาสนุกไม่ได้ เพราะมันสนุกตรงไหน 5555 มางงๆ จบงงๆต้องตีความ ขอขอบคุณคนตีความคนหาข้อมูลอีกครั้ง เพราะลำพังเราคงคิดไปไม่ถึงว่า ชามแก้วจะหมายถึงโชคชะตา ผมบ็อบเป็นเหมือนสัญลักษณ์ของ.. ของอะไรนะลืม -_- ผู้หญิงหัวสมัย สมัยนั้น?
ฯลฯ ซึ่งเหล่านี้มีประโยชน์มาก เพราะถ้าไม่เข้าใจความนัยที่สื่อมา จะจำเนื้อเรื่องไปสอบไม่ได้เลย ไม่น่าจดจำสุดๆ 555 ละข้อสอบก็ไม่ได้ออกวิเคราะห์เลยนะ Match quote, match description, ถามนิดๆหน่อยๆเอง เราเลยประเมินไปว่า ปีหน้าขอ YA จาก goodreads choice awards นะคะ 555555

Sinceramente leí este libro porque tengo que hacerle un trabajo de inglés a mi hermano sobre el libro. Pero es que me ha parecido un libro aburridísimo. Son 5 relatos sin ningún tipo de sentido y con un argumento que no llama la atención en absoluto. Yo no sé cuál de los 5 ha sido el peor o el más absurdo, pero de verdad que es el peor libro que he leído en mucho tiempo

Desde la historia de un bowl de cristal que pareciera atraer calamidades hasta la de un actor cuyo atractivo puede llegar a convertirse en una maldición, este libro contiene varias historias cortitas, ligeras y algunas con alguna vueltecilla de tuerca interesante.

La verdad es que es lo primero que leo de Fitzgerald y no me pareció mal (aunque leí reseñas en las que decían que para nada se parecía a otros trabajos de él) pero tampoco fue como que ¡ufff, tremendas historias! La narración me gustó, admito que algunos de los relatos empiezan de una manera medio meh, medio sosa pero varios son salvados por el final.

Es cortito, fácil de leer y creo que vale la pena para pasar el rato.

Book 9 of the 2016 reading challenge: A book from the library. Unfortunately, the library at the academy in Prague was not stocked with that many English books, so I had not much of a choice. I never read "The Great Gatsby" by Fitzgerald, so I was curious about his writing style. All the stories here were set in the 20s, a decade which seems very alien to me. However, I liked the stories and it was an easy, engaging read.

First 2 stories was a little creepy, but also true. I love to read him bec i know everything he writes about is his own opinions and experiences. The more i read, the more i get to know him and understand him.
