For a book on Northeast Home Landscaping, it features very few native plants. Several of the plants featured are even considered invasive in the Northeast.
I do like the landscaping ideas and the how-to section, but I am really disappointed in the plant suggestions. If you are going to promote invasive and non-native plants, at least provide native alternatives.

This book was very helpful in shaping my thinking around landscaping our yard. I liked the focus on design for hardy perennials.
