The first part of this volume is finishing up the aftermath of the last arc, and if there was any doubt before that Fairy Tail is an awesome guild to be part of, the end of that arc dispels them. They're a pretty fun and forgiving group, and the deal with Laxus is kind of cool.

Then we get into the next arc - we've been hearing about dark guilds, and it was nice to finally get to see how they work in the grand scheme of things. It was also pretty cool - if a bit disturbing - to meet the members o

5 for Laxus feels
4 for Blue Pegasus host club &&sparkles
5 for Oracion Seis' leader being called Brain
4 for the creepy perv and the unnecessary Angel and Hot Eye characters
5 for Midnight who they say is a man but looks like a female and sleeps sitting up on a magic carpet.
5 for the ending.

The Laxus story arc (where Laxus tries to take over the Fairy Tail guild by having everyone fight each other, leaving him in charge) ends with the unsurprising defeat of Laxus. The very ending of the arc is sweeter than expected. Then the guild has their fantasia celebration as part of Magnolia's harvest festival (Magnolia is the town where the Fairy Tail guild hall is located). A new storyline starts with several Dark Guilds teaming up to seize control of a special ancient magic called Nirvana. ...more

This rating is confusing so I'm going to break it down.

End of the arc: 5 stars
It's honestly an emotional ending and I really really enjoyed it overall.

Filler: 4 stars
The filler chapters are interesting. They're honestly pretty amusing and there's even some character building thrown in.

New arc start: 2 stars
They threw 4+ more guilds at you, plus a ton of new characters and are expecting you to keep up. It felt insanely rushed to fit into this volume.

The first part is a tearjerker.

The second sets up the next storyline, which involves alliances with other guilds, and I quite enjoy it so far.

Excellent volume--of course as the first of a major new arc it could be soured by the arc's over all execution, but I doubt that will happen. This new arc has the potential to lift Fairy Tail beyond its generally episodic format and launch a truly epic narrative. This volume already expands the world greatly, introducing numerous new guilds both dark and light and hinting at a story of comparatively massive scope with what we've seen up to this point in this series. Fullmetal Alchemist, the only ...more

This volume deals with the aftermath of Laxus’s rebellion and presents us with the fantasia celebration. No sooner than that is done, it starts laying the ground work for the next big arc. Before it gets to that, life at Fairy Tail gets back to normal, with Lucy needing to make her rent. However, just as she’s about to go on a big mission with her friends, her father arrives, destitute. As he had given her a rather unhappy childhood and recently tried to force her home into a marriage, Lucy isn’ ...more

This series is rated Teen and has violence as well as some scantily dressed characters (plus one ice mage with a tendency to strip but nothing very visual.)

Picking off after the last arc where the son of the guild master attempted to thin the ranks of guild members by creating a battle royale among them we see the aftermath of his decisions and the beginning of a new arc as the Nirvana story begins. But first let's party as Fairy Tale takes center stage at the annual parade and after some backg

My review is for the whole manga so far (50 volumes). Fairy Tail is set in a fantasy world where wizards join guilds to make a living, and help the population who have no magic and cannot face certain threats. Lucy is such a wizard looking for a guild, and after meeting Natsu she joins his guild Fairy Tail. I watched the anime first and I prefer the anime look, but the drawings do get better after some volumes. The regions do look pretty, and the cities as well. The manga is packed with humor an ...more

This Fairy Tail manga, the 16th volume in the series, was just as entertaining as all the other Fairy Tail manga I've read. It's the aftermath of the Battle of Fairy Tail and all of Fairy Tail celebrates Fantasia. Lucy's father makes an appearance, which gets Lucy, Natsu, Happy, Erza, and Gray on their next job. Unknown to them, they are combined with three other guilds -Blue Pegasus, Lamia Scale, and Cait Shelter- to fight against one of the most ruthless dark guilds, Oracion Seis. New characte ...more

We start off the volume with Chapter 127: Tearful Judgement.
The guild is healing after their internal struggle with Laxus and the Raijin trio. Now onto the city holiday, Fantasia, which celebrates with a festival.
Master Markarov excommunicates Laxus from the guild disinheriting him from the place of Future Master. (My question is answered in later volumes, but I wondered who the master would choose as the next in line?)
Come and read this well done send off, and read of regrets on both ends that

Fairy Tail 16

After defeating Laxus the town has its festival.

Little side story with Lucy’s father.

Then the main protagonist go join other wizards from other groups to go on a mission to find and defeat a group of rogue wizard called Prayer 6, and they are defeated at first sight, except for one little girl from Cait Sheltet

So a start of another arc, with more new characters.

Honestly this is the first volume that I've read from this series. I watched all the episodes that were on Netflix and loved them so much. I couldn't wait for the rest to be added on so I decided to start reading the manga. I love this series. Great characters, comedy, and action. I can't wait to read more.

The Fantasia parade is finish, Luxas is kicked out of Fairy Tail, and Lucy needs money to pay rent. But the Dark guilds are starting to make their move. Now Fairy Tail and three other guilds must work together to defeat the team of 6 but will they be enough???

HA, Gajeel! I like him more and more with each passing volume. Really like the part where the various members of four guilds have to team up and work together, even though heaven knows there are enough members of the Fairy Tail guild than I can remember.

^_^ Juppyyy!

Az összefogás pedig röhejes… komolyan?! Perverzek, kretének meg a kislány. Csodás.
