'Return of the Flying Grayson' starts with Tommy and Jimmy Duffy (who we met in The Immortals of Usen Castle ) are in a New Carthage variety store when they see a poster of the Flying Graysons. For a second they wonder if the kid in the poster is their math tutor?
"That bookworm’s muscles are all in his head! "
Dick Grayson himself is in the store and overhears (giving three panels for his origin story). He’s on the lookout for a guy coming into the store with goods. When the man arrives, Dick takes photos. He also follows the man in his microbus when he gets in a truck.
Several paintings were stolen from a museum. Dick thinks they may be on that truck.
Tommy and Jimmy are walking down the street when they see the Robin-cycle chasing a truck. He sets the autopilot on his bike so it will park safely.
'At the rate I’ve been racking up these choppers, even Bruce Wayne’s bank account has been squeaking."
A man in the truck starts shooting at Robin and Robin flips onto the back of the truck. He then swings into the passengers side of the cab. The driver tries to shoot him but only winds up crashing the truck with Robin swinging out of it onto a telephone pole.
Robin has rescued the stolen paintings - including an original painting of the Flying Graysons poster.
That was fun - and an extra point goes for the nod to Raquel Welch!
