Based off of a popular children's tv show, this book features a story about children going to see the doctor and getting their vaccinations. Everyone at the house is so excited for Doc Hogg to come over to give them check ups, everyone except little Ojo bear. He is so scared that he has hidden upstairs in his room. Big (dad) Bear talks him through the whole experience and assures him that everything will be just fine. Ojo gets up the courage to come down and get his vaccination shot, and he is very happy! Reading level, this would be a good book for students K-1, but I think the moral of the story could be used for many different aged children who might be a little bit nervous to go to to the doctor.
