Even though I hungrily devoured this book in an hour, I still managed to see the flaws.
First, the fight with Khloe seemed… I don't know, but a little under dramatic. It was 2 pages long. It would have been much more interesting if it was longer.
Next, when she gets sick, I remembered in the first CC book there was supposedly an Infirmary. If she got the flu, why didn't she go?

Overall I LOVED this book, definitely better than Popular.

Of course, as an avid Canterwood Crest reader, I read this book. Nothing sensational, just your average, enjoyable read from Burkhart. You really get a chance to go through a defining moment with Lauren, and Burkhart writes so you can feel what Lauren is feeling every step of the way. Thumbs up!

Personal response:
I really liked this book because it did a really good job of displaying fears of showing. I liked how it showed the struggle of repairing friendships. Lastly, I liked how this book dealt with horses.
Plot:
In the beginning of this book, Khloe and Lauren were up in the hayloft. They were both mad at each other because they had not talked to each other very much. Lauren thought that Khloe hated her as a roommate. After they sat there and talked, they walked down from

This series was a childhood favorite of mine! Looking back, it's pretty terrible. But I loved it as a kid and it made me appreciate books more, so that's what matters!

Read from August 7th 2012-August 11th 2012.

This book starts off right where Popular ended. Lauren and Khloe have sort through their mini fight and are now practicing and helping each other for the up-coming schooling show.

As the schooling show nears, Lauren gets stressed and nervous, with a bad fever and couldn't ride for days. The schooling show is less than a week away

With Lauren's lack of practice when she was sick,Will she be prepared....or will she and whisper falter before the ring?

Is it just me, or is the second series of Canterwood Crest extremely boring? Compared to Sasha Silver, I've never been able to like Lauren Towers, from her appearance (just look at her seemingly Photoshopped picture on the front cover) to her words and actions and choice of friends. Hell, she bugs me. A lot. I keep reading because though she is irritating, the series' drama is very interesting, which is what got me hooked on it in the first place. Still. Waiting for something good to happen and ...more

I loved this book! The author had me on the edge of my seat every second of reading. Jessica Burkhart did such a good job of having all the details there, yet it was not over whelming. There was a lot of action, drama, adventure and of course horses! I really enjoy reading about horses and the life of owning a horse but sometimes I get bored of it in other books, where in this book series there's enough horses and there are also other things mixed in. I enjoy reading this series and recomend it ...more

the book was ok the certain moments that were described could have been more dramactic considering one of the carecters is a actor and i would reccomed this to someone who loves drama and horses and boarding schools.

Yay! Another really good book in the Canterwood Crest series. I know I am a little older than the intended audience, but I am enjoying this series because of the genuine horse interaction - LOVE!!

This was my favourite of the new Lauren-storyline CCA books I have read so far, mostly because it goes into a lot of detail about preparing for the show! Everyone who has ever shown a horse knows how stressful it is to show, especially if you've had a bad fall. Been there, done that. So I TOTALLY could

Great book! :)
I'll try not to spoil so... this book is definitely recommended for ages 10 and up. This book has a variety of horse back riding, teen dramas and basically challenges at school. Easy read and written by a very talented author @jessicaburkhart
