This directory lays out 3 different approaches to certain illnesses--western, chinese an ayurvedic. I knew I naturally gravited away from the western and more toward the chinese and ayurvedic. I enjoy learning more about what they're all about as well as lots of specific solutions and how to become more healthy. Although I believe in the power of herbs, I learned through reading this book that I still think like a "Westerner" when it comes to medicine. I like to treat the symptoms instead of treat the whole to fix the problem.
This book outlines the Western, Chinese, and Indian approach to herbal remedies. It is fairly user friendly, but it would have been better if more information was cross-referenced.
I'm really starting to dive into herbal teas as a form of healing and promoting a healthy lifestyle. This book is really helpful and well organized (tabs for circulatory system, digestion, anxiety, etc.). It's been exciting and thus far seemingly beneficial buying, brewing, and experimenting with herbal remedies. Good book.
