My kids always enjoyed this book which we read soon after its publication. A dreamy tale perfect for beginning a new year. Now I have a grand child who wants to know “ why is it morning ?” or “ what is a new year?” I’m looking forward to revisiting the concept of time with my lap full of grand baby.

If you are teaching your child to believe in a God that created our world and controls all -including time- this is not a good book to read that child. This book relates an alternative version of how time passes that is creative, but may raise more questions at bedtime than is conducive for a good night of sleep.

So Father Time has these boxes of days (years?) that he throws down to earth. Then he lounges around.

Boring illustrations.
