and a bibliophile's dream.

When you're not reading it, you'll be thinking about it. You may possibly hear of similar events reported on the news; find yourself becoming more aware of tragedies happening around the world. You may even find yourself playing connect-the-dots to a larger picture.
(My connect-the-dots moment came with the elusive "Black Pages" which were a highly sought after medieval artifact...
Personally, I wondered if the "Black Pages" we

I am a fan of thrillers and mysteries, and I really liked this book. There's a large cast of characters, but for a novel this size the authors handle them well. Also, the story "travels." Because the characters rarely sit still, the reader is flung across the globe at each turn of the plot.

Angel of Light centers (in part) on events that are occurring around the world that look random but upon closer examination seem to be linked somehow. Once the main characters begin to get established we sens

Wow. At 900- some pages, it's a big book. Thankfully, it only took me five months to get around to it, but oh boy, was it worth it! Have to run off to work but will review it in a couple of hours on break.

I received this advance reader copy from the authors for a fair and impartial review.

This is the "sequel" to 2009's 'Demon Days', but can be read as a stand-alone without knowledge of it's predecessor.

'Demon Days: Angel of Light' is a bit hard to describe. It is a "quest" drama in the vein of 'National Treasure', a supernatural thriller like 'the Omen', and it is an apocalyptic piece based in Judeo-Christian/Islamic tradition like 'Left Behind'. I use these other works as a comparative example

I read “Demon Days” and really enjoyed that book. But this book is on a totally different level!
The best compliment I can give this excellent novel is that I found myself looking forward to reading the book whenever I was forced to stop (despite how good it is, the book is long. On amazon it says the print version is over 800 pages). So rarely do I feel this way about a novel.
Yes, technically, this book is a thriller. And the authors are obviously smart and talented in their ability to leave

A series of seemingly random events strikes the world – a tragic train crash that leads to the death of over 100 people; a severe earthquake destroys Aleppo in Syria; people are being murdered in strange ways; there is a rise in people experiencing NDEs after bizarre accidents. And, in the middle of it all, sits Envoy John Wolfenson. What can it all mean? Additionally, Jenna Grant – an archeologist and radio personality – is contacted by her brother to authenticate an ancient manuscript, which h ...more

*This is an advanced readers copy
Archaeologist Jenna Grant has come into possession of part of an ancient document that she didn’t dig out of the ground herself, but that doesn't stop her from learning what she can about it. There are others who want the document and make it very clear that she is no longer safe. Those people will do whatever it takes to get it back, even killing innocent people, and Jenna will do whatever it takes to protect the knowledge held in those eight pages. Jenna works

WOW! When I first got this book my thought was, "OMG. I'll never finish this book, it's HUGE, do I even start it?" the book is 920 pages. I'm glad that I took the time to sit down & read it. The book does start off a little slow, there are (almost) too many characters to keep up with. This book will fascinate people that love near death experiences, mystery, horror, suspense, wild rides, history buffs adventure throw in a little romance & you have the book! I know this was a book in fict ...more

Review: Never have I read a book so full of intriguing plot changes that can keep you guessing ‘til the very end. Finney and Snell have the kind of collaborating ability that writing teams everywhere only wish they could have. This dual novel scared me! The simple fact that this story could hold even an inkling of truth is p

Whew! When I got this book, I was amazed at how long it was, but it really did not take me as long to read as I thought it owuld. I would sit down to just read a page or two and before I knew it, I was 75 pages further along. The characters are well written and the story line was action packed enough to keep my attention, both serious bonus in my book reading!! There were no horrible grammar errors either, which raised it another notch up!!

My only complaint was the number of small side plots whi

It's taken me forever to read this novel. The action is fast paced and consistent. You can definitely tell that the author has a background with movies. It reminded me of a Dan Brown kind of plot but with more intricacies.

I received this book back in November, 2011. Since then, I've only read about half of it. It's an interesting concept, but I felt like it was getting dragged out a bit, and gave up on it. Don't get me wrong, I love thick novels, but (and this is the first time I have ever said this) this book is just too heavy on the details, too play-by-play. This could have been a tight thriller if some of it had been cut, but it loses sight of the action a lot, and it's less exciting than normal by being exce ...more

With intrigue, mystery, secret orders and plenty of demonic possessions, this is one very entertaining book that is sure to please readers of many genres.
The plot is woven with care, with many layers and characters which might at first seem to have little to do with one another, but which will later be revealed as interconnected. The action scenes are well-paced, demonstrating the author’s sense for timing, although, as with many books of this length, there are a few instances when less could ha

I received this paperback Book titled "Demon Days: Angel Of Light" by Richard Finney and D.L. Snell. I Won this book from Goodreads. I was excited to receive this book and started reading right away. This book is a Mystery, Conspiracy Thriller, end-of-the-World Horror Novel. I don't want to spoil it for anyone but, it involves near-death experiences and the Devil. Yes, the Devil but don't let that discourage you from reading this book, I know Religion and the Devil can be touchy subjects for som ...more

This book takes a long time to build up so it feels pretty slow and scattered at the beginning, and then sadly doesn't seem to pick up the pace much more throughout. There are a lot of characters to keep track of, and it can be hard to tell the substantial characters from the background characters. The overall plot has the potential to be great once the text is gleaned down a bit with only the interesting parts remaining.
