This would be the first book I’ve involving transsexuals and let me just say it was a great story. I enjoyed Joe very much as a main character. His honesty involving his preference to be with a transsexual woman as well as his courage to stand up to anyone that made cruel comments or attempted to hurt the woman he desired and her friends.

The media still has many misconceptions about transsexuals as a whole and I think this book gives a new positive outlook. It shows the ugly reality but thankfu

Joe only dates transsexuals and finding one on short notice to take to a company party is difficult, until his best friend suggests he use an escort agency. He has the time of his life with Star and is desperate to see her again but she leaves the agency. So Joe begins in his quest to track her down and uncovers a viper’s nest of abuse, crime and murder.

Star Search is a book I've been anxious to read for a while now, ever since Julez started teasing it over on his Crypt of Morbius blog. The synopsis was great, but it was the single-sentence tagline he teased that really excited me: It is time to bring love and romance to the Third Sex.

Reviewed by Joe: We need more trans fiction. There isn’t enough of it. So when I saw this title, I immediately grabbed it. Unfortunately I couldn’t finish the book. I wanted to like this and give it a high review, but I just couldn’t. I found the dialogue to be amateurish and clunky. It didn’t sound the way real people talk.
