a beautifully illustrated little book. "A Schoolgirl's Work" presents 24 samplers from the Spencer Museum of Art, showing each whole piece, closeups and, most interestingly, the back of each piece. Since they are presented in chronological order, the reader can see how styles changed through time. The samplers themselves, are all delightful, and the patterns based on the samplers are also sweet, small projects.
