Up to date scientific information about dinosaurs at the time it was written. But given that there's no narrative, given that the "my first" implies some level of rudimentary-ness and given that the science has changed (dinosaurs have feathers now!), I would recommend going a different direction for your terrible bird-lizards. This one just ins't re-readable enough to keep around.

What we love about this series:

-Photos or realistic illustrations in a field of 3-5 discrete items against a white background per page; ideal for tacting
-Titles that cater to children with specific interests in: dinosaurs, trucks, vehicles, animals, farm animals.
-Titles that assist with key learning areas: numbers, colors, first words, first words in Spanish, ABCs.
-Taxonomic approach may appeal to the organizational instincts of kids with ASD
-"My First Body Book" has a two-page spread with a field of 8 faces expressing different emotions. This may be a good starting place for teaching how to recognize emotions from facial expressions.
-Useful for teaching pointing to show interest
-Feeding a child's interest in books with a specific interest helps children generalize an overall interest in books
-Great size for little hands and light for travel
-Each book has a few pages of suggested activities or interactive moments that make the book a more social experience

Challenges:

-The spine is a little weak. Our copy of "My First Truck Book" now has a duct-tape reinforced spine
-Not a book to "read" to your children because there is no story, just many pictures with labels
-Both "My First Dinosaur Book" and "My First Truck Book" bring such specificity to their topic that the information presented may be beyond the knowledge base or even pronunciation skills of the parent

Good because it's a board book so KIDS cannot destroy it (KIDS - Kinetic Instantaneous Destruction Systems), from an accuracy standpoint it has decent images for the dinosaurs, and good for Christians as it does not reference Evolution once.

S sinovoma smo odkrili nov svet dinozavrov. Saj nisem niti sam vedel, da obstaja toliko vrst. Grozljivo, da je moj sin prišel do spoznanja, da so vsi ogromni in grdi. Pa še lačni povrh.
