In this life, Abby must reunite the lovers with the support of her guardian, Will. Will, who's snarky remarks and undeniable good looks are starting to make Abby think a little more about him. WARNING! Spoilers of First Episode: The Shadow.
In the first book the author introduced us Abby Grace. A girl who doesn't remember anything about her life. She is a Shadow. She uses the body of a person, in order to help them to overcome obstacles in their lifes. In the first book she helped a girl to find her little brother, who was "kidnapped" and she made that broken family talk about their issues.

Abby found out in Episode One that she is a Shade. A Shade is someone who inhabits other people’s bodies in order to help them solve a problem. She does this with the help of her Guardian, Will.
After Abby has successfully completed her last mission, she wonders what will happen to her. Is she just “out there” or will she have a new mission. This is figured out when she finds herself in a bedroom with a crying girl. Again, she knows nothing of who she “borrowed” or who the crying girl on the bed ...more

Well, (if you read my review of the first episode this makes sense) I've finally learned why Abby is a "Shadow"! She's pretty much chosen to inhabit someone's body and solve their problems. I like this idea, and it proves interesting reading material, but can you imagine hopping from one body to another, to deal with their messed-up lives if you wish to ever exit them?! (I think not. I would be like, catatonic if I had to solve other people's problems!)
Anyways, this time, Abby wakes up, memory ...more

Once again, Green cooks up a story full of fun deception and mystery. Abby has begun to acclimate to her role as a problem-solving Shadow, finding herself in the new body of a high schooler. We begin from where we left off in the first episode and dive headfirst into the melodramatic disasters of two teenage girls.

Abby is plunged into another body, this time she is tasked with reuniting the lovers. Since she wound up in a girl's room with a girl crying about her boyfriend, Abby figured she had it all figured out. There is a lot more than meets the eye with this task though. Blackmail and secrets play a heavy role in Abby task, and she has to put it together quick if she ever wants to get out of this body.

I received a pdf copy from the author for review.
*Contains spoiler from first episode.
This starts off exactly where the first episode left off. Abby just finished helping Brooke. Abby didn’t know what would happen to her after she finished ‘borrowing’. To her luck or dismay, she ends up in another girl, Michelle. Michelle’s best friend, Heather, was dating Sam, but he left her for one of her other friend’s Cecilia. Abby suspects that Cecilia has something over Sam but what exactly. Will appears ...more

Girl Steals Guy is the second installment in the Borrowing Abby Grace series. I enjoyed it just as much or maybe a little more than the first one. The author has a way of keeping you hooked and guessing until the end.
In this one Abby finds herself in Michelle's body and life. She thinks she must reunite her best friend Heather and her boyfriend Sam. At first I had the same thoughts as Abby/Michelle that Sam is just a jerk quarterback football player. But as the story went on I came to realize th ...more

This is another fun read from the Borrowing Abby Grace series. I liked this one a lot more because I could relate to it more, mostly because of the boys and breakups. It starts out with Abby being sent into the body of a girl named Michelle whose best friend is heartbroken. This second installment in the Abby Grace series was as entertaining and intriguing as the first (find my review here). Abby is a Shadow and as such becomes someone else in order to help them solve life problem. Her instructions to "reunite the lovers" seem obvious, but over time she discovers that her first thoughts might have been wrong. I enjoyed getting to know Will (Abby's Guardian who helps her navigate her missions) a little more in this installment. We see a friendship start to develop b

We discovered in Book#1 that Abby Grace is a Shadow - these are the type of the people who have the ability to inhabit someone else's body when they have a problem that needs fixing, one that is too difficult for them to solve on their own and they need that little push. In Book#2 Abby Grace is transported into the body of Michelle . It seems that Michelle's friend Heather is down in the dumps and has love problems . Heather's ex-boyfriend Sam is dating another girl Cecila and Heather is depress

Another good, fast read. I liked this one just as much as the first book. The only thing that's really bothering me is that I still have no idea who Abby Grace is. In this book (not to spoil things here) all she get's to help her figure who she is, is a memory. I won't tell you what the memory is, but even me knowing what the memory is doesn't help me figure who she is.
I was sort of hoping this book would explain more about Abby Grace, but it didn't.

I have to admit, this second episode didn't grab me as much as the first one did. Still, it was a fun read, and it goes very quickly.
As with the first book, I'm left wanting to know more about Will (or Wilhelm). Who is he? How did he get this job of his? Is he assigned solely to Abby, or are there other shadows he helps?
That leads me to questions about the whole set-up. Who's in charge of the shadows? How many are there? Who decides which people need their help? We learn little bits in ...more

This is the second episode in the Borrowing Abby Grace Mystery Series. Girl Steals Guy was just as fun and entertaining as the Shadow.
I love how in this episode Will and Abby each grow as characters. I also really enjoyed the friendship that is starting between Abby and Will.

A good quick read! Part of the "Borrowing Abby Grace" series. I thought it was well done. An easy read - somewhat for teens. Nancy drew-ish but very clever.
