Concentrating on graphics, this book describes many of the paleontological discoveries over the last thirty years. The concentration is on the large dinosaurs and on the predators. Each featured animal is shown in it's environment, describing anatomy, locomotion and feeding. Often the chapter starts with a herbivore, moving to a predator and showing how the predator-prey interaction may have played out. Good reading, as it gives the reader a "real life" feel for each dinosaur.

Ashamed to say that this is another one I've had since it was published and hadn't done more than flick through and look at the pictures, until now. Lots of information and pictures in here - both photos of fossils and artwork of what the dinosaurs may have looked like. I learnt a lot reading this. There are so many dinosaurs in here that I had not heard of - it covered less known species rather than the ones that we've all heard of. Loved it and will no doubt flick through again, soon.

I have owned this book for a few years now. Illustrations are good, contains adequate info but this specific book meant best for kids still in primary school and up. Still an alright read
