This book was a roller coaster of witty comments, painful memories and a splash of hope. Finally, one of the Ladies' Night Out who gets her own love story. Minnie, a favorite side character of mind from past books, is independent and strong despite her vulnerable heart. Having felt betrayed once, she is hesitant to let anyone see her weakness again. Gordon is a bit of a shy character, but he has great interplay with the other characters. Together they produce sparks, happy memories and painful ...more

If you have grandparents who are characters, you will love this book. What would happen if your first love showed up at your door 50 years too late? See what happens after she slams the door in his face. You will laugh, cry and cheer.

Minnie Schultz, leading lady of Joselyn Vaughn’s HAUNTINGS OF THE HEART, just might need some sort of restraining order against me. I want her house. I want her friends. And if my guy didn’t already have it covered, for absolute sure I’d want a love like hers.

But I digress. Things haven’t exactly been going Minnie’s way. She was fortunate to be able to purchase her dream home, the Lilac Bower, and transform it into a Bed and Breakfast, but business is down and so is a lot of the drywall, thanks

I know three things about Joselyn Vaughn's books: They are always great stories. They make me laugh out loud. Love always comes out on top. Those things make her books good medicine for bad days. Hauntings is vintage Vaughn.

I loved this sweet story of Minnie and Gordon. Learning about their history and meeting the humorous characters in Hauntings of the Hear made this book one I didn't want to put down.

One of the sweetest, most heartfelt romances I have ever read! Minnie and Gordon were young lovers torn apart by circumstances...until Gordon comes back to town 50 years later.

The whole book I was thinking "Just talk to each other!!! grrrrr" But the way that Ms Vaughn creates the internal dialog for both of the characters you are truly sympathetic to their desires to not bring up the pain of the past. Usually the lack of communication between characters annoys me to no end, but the way that the

You never know what you will find waiting for you on the other side of the door unless you open it. This story made me chuckle so many times. When Minnie's past comes knocking on her door, the first thing she does is slam the door shut, but. Gordon is leaving yet. Minnie's bed and breakfast begins having all sorts of problems and her and her kooky friends come up with a nutty plan to try and help the Lilac Bower, but of course things aren't going to run smoothly when you add in ghost hunters and ...more

This was a well thought out, well written story about misunderstandings and second chances at love. What happens when the love of your life, the one you lost shows up at your doorstep 50 years later? Minnie and Gordon are about to find out. Minnie is an awesome character filled with life, fun and excitement. Her group of friends are quite the characters and their antics are sure to make you smile and laugh your self silly. Gordon is our antagonist in this heartfelt story of second chances. He is ...more

This was a light-hearted and sweet love story. Even though this book wasn't for me I still liked the characters and how they found each other after so many years apart. Minnie and Gordon had a history and circumstances pulled them apart. After 5 decades apart, Gordon comes back to his hometown hoping to reclaim his family home. The last thing he expects is to find his one true love Minnie. Though the book was slow and a bit predictable, is was very sweet and nice to read how the characters loved ...more

Oh what fun! This is my second Vaughn book, and I'm still impressed. The characters are witty, entertaining and heartfelt. Each one found a place in my heart and mind and I cherish them. Though some of the book is predictable, it's a good read so it doesn't really matter. The day to day dealings are enough to keep you interested in every word and sentence.

I strongly recommend this to cozy readers, romance readers, paranormal readers, and anyone who just plain likes a good story. Vaughn has a

Such an amazing story with characters you feel like you know. The descriptions are so real that I can just picture myself at the Lilac Bower. After advertising as a haunted house & paranormal investigators showing up, it all just comes together in the end. I absolutely love the characters in this book. And just love Joselyn Vaughn’s writing.

I'm a stay at home mom who tries to squeeze writing in between potty training, referring temper tantrums and cleaning up after geriatric dogs.

In my free time, I enjoy reading books longer than 30 pages, running, reconstructing clothing, surfing Pinterest (well, that's more of an addiction.) and shopping at thrift stores.
