Seriously aku kurang happy dengan penamatnya, dah la watak Orange masih lagi lembap seperti biasa selepas dihidang berekor2 gajah depan mata (siap jadi cover lagi?!) . Watak Lemon pulak disyaitankan kaw-kaw punya sampai dah macam desperate sangat untuk ditamatkan (sebab Ben dah keluar dah time ni, Juice yang takeover). Mungkin sebab aku dah benci watak Orange yang stoic,suka pulak dengan Lemon yang acah2 evil. Dijatuhkannya pulak Si Lemon habis-habisan. Apple? Filler je dia ni.

Orange masih benak. Tapi baguslah dia berubah di akhir cerita. Lemon sepatutnya dapat balasan yang lebih menyeksakan. Cerita pasal Kiwi habis gitu je.

WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU ORANGES
This is a coming of age story for Orange. To learn what it takes to be independent, to be brave, to be decisive and true to himself and others. While yes, what happened to Kiwi wasn't his fault and Kiwi have made peace with it and didn't blame him. But it was his cowardice, his absence in defending his best friend's honour that hurt their friendship. His subservience led him to be dragged around by Lemon and even ruined his friendship with Mango. But still, it was a satisfying read to see him grow as a person even though I yelled at the book many time because he's so dumb.
The ending to Orange's character development was so good. I love how it doesn't happen in like a bombastic location but it is a simple private moment with Lemon. We never knew if Lemon truly lost her memories or is simply faking it. But at that point, it didn't matter. She has hurt others too much and gone too far. Orange taking a stance, not overthinking and being fully honest with Lemon was so good. He doesn't owe it to Lemon to care about her "memory loss" (I personally believe she's faking it).
The story ends with Orange embracing his newfound independence and strength is really sweet. Yes, some parts could be better... 1) Mango's relationship with Orange is underdeveloped which is why when the misunderstanding happened I didn't really care. 2) I wish Kiwi left because of something else because it is heavily implied that her dad left the family. I find it hard to believe that someone like Kiwi would just pack everything and move back with her dad after seeing her mom was forced to raise her alone. 3) I find Apple's storyline is really boring like her character.
One thing to note I love how Ben made Kiwi & Orange as just friends and don't make Kiwi as being secretly in love with Orange like all the other stories. Kiwi doesn't fall into the "tomboy bff have feelings for guy friend" trope. Their relationship is completely pure & platonic. Plus, I DO think that Kiwi can do much better than Orange since she's cute, smart, and brave.

Watak utama sentiasa husnuzon walaupun bukti dah ada depan mata. Character development pun tak cukup kuat. Lepas orang tu dah hilang ingatan baru nak berdepan dan bagitahu semua benda. Dah takde guna bro. Nasib baiklah ending tak together dengan perempuan yang baik tu, kalau tak kesian.
