Hung over and tired, twenty-four year old Jessica finds she has made a crazy bet to get a date with her favorite celebrity, Ian Drake. Of course the bet would be unthinkable except for the small problem that she made it with her enemy, Erik. She decides to use the bet as a way to prove to herself and others that when she sets her mind to something she can truly accomplish it.
Erik is astounded to realize that Jessica has taken the bet seriously but refuses to come clean on the reason she made it to begin with… as a result of his asking her out. He’s just grateful she apparently doesn’t remember that part of the conversation, and in fact wishes he could forget it as well. Only…somehow Jessica has started to get under his skin, and not in the annoying way she has in the past. While Jessica is doing everything she can to win the bet, Erik finds he is doing everything he can to spend more time with her.
Jessica learns that Ian Drake has a vacation home somewhere in Lake Tahoe and decides to go there for a month over the summer to track him down. Her schemes lead her into many hilarious situations. And, although things don’t go exactly as planned, Jessica learns a lot about motivation, determination and love…. Not to mention making bets.
Hi everyone. Thanks so much for reading my books. Here's some key info about me...

Obviously I am biased since I wrote it, but this was such a fun book to write that I hope everyone enjoys reading it just as much. By making such a crazy bet, Jessica is forced to take on challenges and a transformation which she normally would not attempt. It is a message to all of us that with courage we can experience more of life and of ourselves.
This was a great little love story! The tension between Erik and Jessica is perfect and the second half of the story really made me start mentally planning my own Lake Tahoe trip! Totally fun, hilarious characters and a story that will leave you sighing and smiling!
Cute book about the turmoil that a young adult goes through when truly trying to find herself. After making her bet, Jess decides that she must go through with it. This book was creative and amusing and kept me reading.
I wanted to like this one, I really did but....I just couldn't.
There were so many parts that were slow and just weren't necessary. It almost had too much detail that was mundane and made the story very uninteresting.
The romance was pretty blah and I never found myself connecting to any of the characters and while sometimes that is okay, it just wasn't in this one.
Maybe my hopes were too high for this going into it, I am not really sure but I just found myself being disappointed with it and I actually ended up skimming pages at times, something I rarely do.
I think the concept for this one was cute but I just couldn't connect to the story. I guess I was hoping for a little more romance and a little more between the two main characters.
It was nice to have the secondary romance between Peter and Jessica's friend, but again, there just wasn't enough to it.
Overall, I think I will give this one about 2.5 Stars.
I seriously am at a loss when it comes to this book.... I guess this is the first book which I've rated so low... Betting Jessica, for me at least, turned out to be boring... For starters...the concept didn't get to me at all...nope. Then...there was just so much of explaining and things said in the passive tense...not much of conversation that it got even more boring... About the time when it DID reach an interesting part...I had all but lost interest in the book.. My only conclusion...not my type...
This was a fun story to read. It could have used a little more proofreading, but the writing was great. I enjoyed reading about the dynamics of the group as well as watching the couples come together. It's always fun nice to get a "bonus" romance in a book. LOL I liked watching Jessica's confidence grow and poor Erik just couldn't figure out why he became a completely different person around her.
Simple and predictable, but isn't that most chick lit? This book fell between an "ok was ok" and "Liked it". In the end I liked the book more then I didn't so this free Kindle book gets the 3 start rating. If you are in the mood for a pleasent and mindless read then this is for you.
