I really love how this manga navigates its plot weavings . All of these characters are genuinely good, there's no evil present in the book at all, and yet there's still tension, and danger and intrigue.
While Sakura as a character can be very dense sometimes (said with love, but still that girl can't pick up on hints, even when they are flashing big neon signs in her face, at all!), I really enjoyed Li-Kun's character. He is pure, and I love how Tomoyo is always there catching him at his most ro ...more

Aww that ending is so bittersweet! I wish Toya didn't have to make that sacrifice I feel like that was a big part of his connection with Sakura. I hope that doesn't change now.
I didn't like how Nakuru tries to constantly come between Yukito and Toya. Her character rubs me the wrong way I don't know why but I just don't really like her... the other new characters don't annoy me like she does they are just mysterious and heighten my curiosity to know what the hell is going on with them.

Stakes are high and that's good.
World: The art is fantastic and the new status quo and changing of the cards makes for some pretty fantastic splash pages. The world building is solid once again. No info dumping and just enough to keep the story going. The pieces we do get is interesting and builds upon the fun lore.

The original series continues with new challenges.
Having gathered all of the Clow cards and proving her worth as a mage Sakura's life could have gone back to normal but normal is not on the agenda right now. Unnatural events are happening in town and the Clow Cards are ineffective until Sakura taps into her own magic to change them one by one into Sakura Cards. The process is draining and whatever force is behind the phenominums are also helping her magic strengthen as someone close to her is in ...more

Honestly just keeps getting better. The character development, the relationships (not just romantic) between the characters, the depth of the story.
Syaoran is great. He was bratty when we first met him, and now he's learning to befriend and love others, and he's really turning out to be a wonderful kid. I enjoy his character and role a lot.

Hey, stuff happens! Sakura faces interesting challenges and I didn't feel so bored! It's overly mysterious and why aren't people figuring these obvious bits of weirdness out, but I'll take what I can get. Toya is best character. And PLEASE STOP with the creepy relationships. I know this series is about love, but it does so very little to explore than in a healthy way.

Boy, was it a hassle to hunt down this omnibus volume and the one after it. I didn't expect them to be pulled from shelves and go out of print so quickly as I started collecting. But I finally got my hands on a copy of each, thanks to watching Thriftbooks's wishlist alerts. Can't say my copy is in the best shape, but it is still clean and readable.

“I want the person I love to be happy... more than I want their love returned."
'But... Don't you want the person you love to love you back...?'
"That would be wonderful... But, if the person I love is happy... then that's all I need to be happy.”
Ahhh! This series is breaking my heart... in the best of ways!! I really am enjoying the shift in narrative (a lot more than I thought I would); everything feels so much more important and intense, while still managing to have that lighthearted feeling on ...more

The third volume in the CCS Omnibus edition contains issues 7, 8 and 9. This was to date my favorite volume because SHAORAN IS SO CUTE. I love it when he is jealous and he finally admits what he feels, and that wasn't so explored in the anime, so it's cool to see more. I NEED MORE SHAORAN. ALWAYS.

Another excellent installment! One of my favourite parts of the series. I love seeing Toya and Yuki's relationship develop, Syaoran slowly figuring out his feelings for Sakura, and Sakura's changing and strengthening magic.Plus. Eriol is a cool character.
The only consistent complaint I have with the series is romances like the one between Rika and Terada. I know CCS has this thing about soulmates and love existing regardless of age and gender, but having that between a teacher and an elementary ...more

As per usual with this Cardcaptor Sakura series, this whole book was an adorable delight to read. The only issue that I had with this book is that it had more time spent on character's crushes than the other ones did, and after a while some of those plot lines feel repetitive (ex: having a character get interrupted on multiple occasions when they're trying to confess their feelings for another character). It's just the kind of thing that probably feels less repetitive/more funny when seen on the

Sakura has proven herself a worthy magician capable of hunting even the scariest Clow cards - but what does the arrival of two new students vying for her and her brother mean to her life as a regular student and the gatherer of the beasts?! CLAMP brings more magic, mystery and romance with this enjoyable collection. Who are these new students, where have they come from...and could there be a hint of a crush coming from the boy Sakura once believed to be her new rival?!

Another great installment. This series just gets better and better. I love reading the series now older too, because I can understand a lot of the deeper stuff going on! I recommend this to anyone who grew up on sailor moon. The series is so nostalgic and wonderful, but also heartfelt and interesting.

Oof, I didnt remeber this arc as well as I did the girst one. It was such a delight to read, full of suspense and childish thrills. It's all so sweet and innocent, and tbh, it felt like I was reading it for the first time. A treasured favorite, once again.

I'm continuing to enjoy this series. The new "bad" guy mostly seems to be helping Sakura become a stronger magician and I'm sure they'll all be friends in the final volume.
