The secrets of the local diet from Crete - the heart of the Mediterranean - are revealed. The key ingredients - oils, vegetables, fish and fruits - each have their nutritional values and inherent health-giving properties explained.
What a mess this book is. The extended introduction is padded out with graphics and allusions to principles of the Cretan Diet then the recipes -- and there are few of those -- seem a world away from what the book said in its lead in. EG; the intro goes on about octopus but offers no octopus recipe. Waste of money.
