Zeke has spent his time with the Stormrazors as an outcast, ever since one catastrophic mission that left several agents dead. Since that day, he swore off missions for good.
But people will die whether or not he participates.
Meanwhile, Naomi and Kyla struggle with the fallout of the last mission.
The clock is ticking on the Stormrazors, and for General Byrne, there’s only one direction left to forward.
This story has a great fast-paced plot. I felt like I was physically one of the characters moving through the motions of the story. I love how these books feel realistic about the negative events taking place in this type of world because no world or person is perfect.
I liked how the character relationships are changing as more is revealed about all their pasts. The new character conflict really gave the story added tension that kept me reading it from the first page. I also liked how I could really see how Naomi is growing and it made me understand her more in this book.
Although, Jonah has me feeling the most. Ever since the last book's reveal at the end, I haven't been able to stop worrying about him. My questions have only grown and all I want is for him to be free to live his life happily.
And like always with this author, I wish I knew what happened after the end. I can't wait for the next book to figure it out.
