Absolutely, positively everyone who claims Christ as their Savior should read this book. The incredible faith of the first Cambodian believers in the face of such a brutal and apocalyptic genocide is nothing short of inspiring, reminiscent of the life of Jeremiah the prophet and the book of Acts. Excellent. Cormack chronicles the story of the kingdom of God in Cambodia alongside the devastating kingdom of man, using agricultural allusions throughout. The political story of Cambodia is crushing, but alongside the hidden story of God’s work, it is filled with hope. I highly recommend this thought provoking and well written book.
