This book gives hope and practical suggestions to survivors grieving the tragic death of a loved one. Tears will come to your eyes as you read the comments of survivors throughout the book, but many of the tears will honor their insight and courage as they travel their paths toward healing.
I would recommend for anyone dealing with a tragic, sudden loss. It has helped me tremendously in trying to understand other family members and their trauma as well as my own.
I thought the book was better than the people who gave us "two weeks to grieve" the loss of my daughter's dad. He was killed in a terrorist attack-"It wasn't a murder," the agent told us, "it was a terrorist attack"-in Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. Based on what people were saying, I thought there was no WAY a book could steer me into any odder territories, so I picked it up.
