This was a cute collection of 4 Disney stories about Cinderella, Aurora, Belle and Ariel. Each story wasn't the traditional story of the original classic but had the same characters. My students enjoyed reading an easy book about princess, but they also felt like they were reading a comic book (which apparently is so much cooler than a picture book).
Four comic stories, which based on their unusual cels, look to have originated in the European Disney Princess magazine.
CINDERLLA-Cinderella cheats in a contest by letting her fairy godmother do the work in order to get some peace and quite. LITTLE MERMAID-Ursula decides that selling Ice Cream (underwater?) to the royal Mer-Family will fuck with their vacation. No one recognizes her at first. Not sure what her end goal was.
BEAUTY AND THE BEAST-The village is holding a spring parade and Belle wants to enter the float contest. strangest of all, this is set DURING the film. Uh... wasn't she suppose to be locked up? How come she can suddenly visit her dad? Illogical.
SLEEPING BEAUTY-The good fairies gift Aurora a plate that teleports her and Phillip into a forest where fairies are stealing the colors of nature...for reasons...This one feels very half baked.
