Well-written short supernatural story, love it. I was instantly drawn into the story. I was left wanting more. Can a curse really stop you from finding true love?

An unusual Halloween tale that ends with a surprising ending kind of leaving you to imagine what actually happened. Kate goes to a Halloween Bon Fire with her friends, and gets left behind as she doesn’t drink. All alone, on her way back to the bonfire, while in the woods, she’ attacked by a guy who starts to kiss her and gets attacked by a Halloween Monster --- a fellow class mate catches up with her and she tells a story of how her Mother had put a curse on her and that anyone kissing her ...more

A very intrigue story. It starts with Kate going to a Halloween party in the woods and things soon go wrong. Her so-called friends ditch her and a boy tries to rape her. This so far quite realistic scenario turns supernatural as she is saved by a monster.
I won't say anymore because you'll have to find out yourself what really happened or if it happened at all. That's up to your imagination and conclusions.
5 stars as this short story was well written given the short amount of time it developed

This debut short-story is about a young teenager Kate, who goes to a Halloween party with her 'so-called' friends, who subsequently go off with a couple of boys, leaving Kate, the somewhat more sensible of the group, alone on the edge of some nearby woods; another boy from the party attempts to attack her but she is saved by a mystery man, who is described and portrayed in the story as a 'monster'. It is at this point, when the reader realises the paranormal element of the story and that not all ...more

Kiss of Death was a good short story about a girl who determines who her "true" friends are. Her friends told her to get a boy and join them or get lost. She got lost in the woods and found out that not all guys are acceptable. She later gets saved by another guy...

What a thrilling short story, with an ending that's keeps the reader wondering what really just happened.
Great to find a new to me author from Michigan, who writes creatively and a touch of romance and lots of mystery.
