My father was concerned about how one would raise children in Canada according to religious values - when I suddenly remembered a contact who was homeschooling her son.

He jumped on the idea and so I checked this book out from the library.

The Guide is a collection of essays from homeschoolers across America coming from various backgrounds and in unique situations.
Each essay aims to encourage the reader to explore the idea of homeschooling and what it takes for parents to homeschool their child.

To put it bluntly, the book is heavily biased against the public education system and favours homeschooling above all forms of learning.

The author lists several resources in the latter half of the book and gives answers to common questions. There is also an Appendix for homeschooling laws in each Canadian Province and Territory.
