Like most great academic books, it could have been about 200 pages shorter, but some of the passages were brilliant (hence, I gave it 4 stars). I included a couple of my favourite quotes here already, but one, which is short, is the following:

'The life of understanding is not about completion but transformation. What matters is not that understanding complies with the fixity of a concept but that it remains in play, continuing to open possibilities of transformation and transcendence.'
