I didn't know what to think about this story but I really enjoyed it. Perhaps what really got to me about this book was Kale's sacrifice for Samantha. Throughout his existence humans never stirred him until he saw Samantha and there was something about her that made him disobey orders and saved her life. He was drawn to her and as a result fell from heaven and the two of them discovered that they were connected to each other in more ways then one. It was interesting to read about the consequence ...more
A short, sweet read about an angel who's only purpose was to collect the spirits of the recently dead, falls from Heaven when he cannot let a woman die. Not having anywhere else to go Samantha takes the some how familiar Kale home until he is able to remember what happened to him and find his family. As they spend time together their feelings grow. A relationship is formed. This was a somewhat different take on angels. Although a short read it still had me wanting to know what would happen next.

If you think you know what to expect from THE COLLECTOR, you'd better think again! This story is one twist after the next, each one a lovely--if a bit unsettling at times--surprise. Kale's job is to collect the souls of the dead and deliver them for judgement. It's a relatively simple task ... that is, until he stands ready to take Samantha. Something inside him changes in that moment, and rather than collect her soul, he saves her life. This tears a hole in the tapestry of time, and Kale's puni ...more

Nice story with a sweet romance. I liked the storyline and the way the author brought a different take on angles falling from grace finds their mate. I would’ve liked to have read a bit more tension between the characters, as in sexual and other because Kale did change everything for Samantha. I also wished the author would have gone into depth on how things were changed because of Kale actions. With characters that worked very well together and a good storyline I recommend this to anyone who wa ...more

The Collector (The Overseers Book 1)The Collector by Elizabeth Morgan

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Well for the other side of that "bad book" coin I got this one The Collector [The Overseers] to review and it turned out to be very good with a few notes. Once again you have the equivalent of "MINE" as the impetus of the romance in the too often used "I don't know why I love her" but at least this time it was given some time to mature and grow into something that even as PNR we can relate to for the story. The summary below kind of gives

I received a free copy of the book from the author for my honest opinion.

Kale is a angel, a collector his job is to collect the souls of humans when they die. Kale is changing he has been watching humans and wondering how it feels to touch someone and how it feels to be touched. Kale wants to know what love is. Humans can't see angles but when Kale meets Samantha he realizes she can see him. Kale asks himself how is this possible? Can she really see him or is it just him wishing for her to see h

Let me start by saying what wonderful story; I loved this book! It's approximately 114 pages long, but it was lovely, a perfect read for a couple of quiet hours in the afternoon.

The story and characters are beautifully written and Kale is gorgeous! Even though the the book is short, it doesn't feel empty and the story isn't rushed. The characters and plot are well-rounded and believable. The book is full of emotion and deals with life, death, pain and love. Ms

Elizabeth Morgan is a multi-published author of urban fantasy, paranormal, erotic horror, f/f, and contemporary; all with a degree of romance, a dose of action and a hit of sarcasm, sizzle or blood, but you can be sure that no matter what the genre, Elizabeth always manages to give a unique and often humorous spin to her stories.

Like her tagline says; A pick ‘n’ mix genre author. “I’m not greedy.
More about Elizabeth Morgan...
“Do you truly feel that she is worth your wings?”
He smiled. “What good are my wings, friend, when I can hold the
world in my arms?”
“Why did you choose to save me?”

“I could not let you die.” He placed the plate and glass on the kitchen counter.

“But you have let goodness knows how many people die. Why me?”

“You made me...” He leaned against the counter and looked at her. “You made me…feel.”
