She gave up stripping to go legit until three Kiowa cowboys bring on the down-and-dirty.

Jackson Gray Wolf is turning thirty, and what does he have to show for it? A ranch. No wife, no kids, no dates. He's had his eye on the pretty owner of the Ugly Stick Saloon, but their one accidental encounter was interrupted before he could get her out of her take-me-now red cowboy boots.

Audrey Anderson isn't in the market for a man. Been there, done that, has the scars to prove it. She retired her pole-dancing boots after purchasing the Ugly Stick Saloon, and now manages a stable of strippers. When she winds up one stripper short for a private party, she's forced to slip on a mask and into the role of the mysterious Kiki.

Jackson didn't want the birthday bash his twin brothers are throwing him, but his vow to ignore the rented stripper goes awry when she shows him exactly how far she's willing to go for all three of them.

Audrey can't forget the sizzling heat between her and one sexy Kiowa in particular. Jackson. Trouble is, she's not sure if he wants the bold, brassy Kiki, or if he's ready for the wounded woman underneath.

Warning: This title contains hot scenes with multiple partners, with a little BDSM on the side. Caution it could melt your e-reader!

I gave this one star so I could review it. The last scene in the bar was cute but that's it. This story lacked any warmth or connection between the H/H. The fact that Jackson wanted Audrey for himself but an interrupted quickie in the storeroom ends all chances of that happening and then it veers of into a dark place was just disturbing. A couple of things that didn't sit right with me was that Audrey was the one calling the shots. She didn't want just Jackson she wanted his brothers too. He didn't want to share. The three brothers had never done ménage before, Audrey liked it bdsm rough and this also was new to them. She also wanted Jackson to dom her, he wasn't a dom. It was just lacking any spark. It all just happened and it was like no connection was felt through these characters, certainly not with his twin brothers who are barely involved in the ménage but are all signed up for the relationship in the end. Just not worth the read.

First off, the name of Audrey's bar cracks me up. Hee! Second, I'm not too sure how I feel about the idea of brothers sharing a girl. Which is weird because I've read it in the past and it was not bothersome. On one hand... eww. They're brothers. And they've all got their parts in the same girl at the same time. On the other hand... *fans self* Holy hotness, Batman. Those Gray Wolf boys sure do know how to give their lady what she needs.

All that weirdness aside, I liked that Jackson took charge when the opportunity presented itself. I understood how Audrey was leery of allowing anyone to have control over her with the way her last boyfriend/Dom abused his power over her. I got that she didn't want to let her need for rough, domineering sex to get out and tarnish her reputation as a ball-busting, (mostly) respectable business woman. Not that rough sex would necessarily tarnish her reputation but... ehh, you know what I'm getting at, right? She was gun-shy and didn't want to screw up the dynamic she had working for her.

Definitely sexy, nicely naughty, and panty-melting in a good way. The brothers thing wasn't a deal breaker and it was VERY hot so... take that into consideration.

Well Texas has a way of doing things its own way. I could totally picture Audrey as the strong, independent saloon owner. She has a hard time reconciling herself with her desires. No one is going to dominate this woman. But in the bedroom she wouldn't mind. So how does she get past someone thinking they can dominate her as a women & get past the man that tainted her fantasies AND be fulfilled completely? In walks tall, dark & native, Jackson, and his 2 brothers. Audrey has to decide once they light the fire within her to let them have and know all of her. Jackson is where her heart is, but the excitement of multiple partners (3 + her) and possibilities (yep, anal too) that entails is hard to pass up. Jackson is a one-woman kind of man, but he'll give Audrey anything she wants to make her his. Kind of sweet in a holy guacamole (I know it doesn't work) kind of way.

What a fun little steamy read. Who wouldn’t want 3 hot Kiowi Indian Cowboys to dominate them?.

The scenes were HOT! Not burning hot like 3rd degrees burns hot, more like… when you first dip your feet into a hot bath HOT… you eventually get used to it and doesn’t feel all that hot anymore.

I found it a bit hard to believe at first, Jackson wasn’t into the whole thing then BAM he starts demanding that he be called Master.

Oh god did he demand it.. over and over and over and over…

The ending was also unbelievable.
Although hilarious that girls were ripping the boys clothes off and practically raping them.

Apparently Jackson and Audrey were in love but he had no problems let his brothers have their way with her.
Yeha just didn’t sit right.

But anyway it was free and a fun read which made me smile.

Okay this wasn't the worst, but wasn't the greatest either. I'll give in that it did have some pretty sexy scenes, and I liked the characters for the most part. Who couldn't love a hardworking sexy cowboy, his equally sexy brothers, and a strong independent if not a little bit damaged ex stripper turned bar owner? I will say however, that Jackson was a bit too willing to change in the bedroom to satisfy Audrey. I just didn't like him doing such big things that were so far away from his character, because the way it was done lessened the emotions between them. Bottom line is that although I like that he was willing to adapt, the way it was done was so quick that it just made it unbelievable in my eyes. Now I've read books before about brothers sharing and liked them, but this one was just plain awkward...

The scenes were a bit uncomfortable where the twins were concerned, and although they were hot, they just felt a bit off to me. Now the scene with all the guys in the bar towards the end was funny, don't get me wrong, because who wouldn't laugh at a bunch of ladies ripping and tearing the guys clothing off? It was just sooooo over the top unbelievable.

The ending was...confusing. Although both Audrey and Jackson said they wanted to be together throughout the book, . That just didn't work for me, but especially when I found out that the next book is about the twins finding love.

This was definitely a HOT read and contained several kinky and spicey sex scenes. I loved Jackson's character and seeing him trying to change to please Audrey is what gave me pause. Audrey/Kiki was interesting. On one hand, I really liked her and felt sorry for her for the past relationship she was still trying to get over. The attraction and chemistry was there for her and Jackson and you could see these two wanted to be together but Audrey had some hidden fantasies and a sexual hunger she was scared to let out. Both wanted to be together and at first Jackson didn't want to share, let alone with his brothers, but he wanted to give Audrey what she wanted and in this is where I felt the story fall apart for me. I love erotic stories and if a book is centered solely on sex and giving into the characters basic urges, that's great. Jackson and Audrey had great chemistry and wanted to be together and were thinking of the other person constantly, so in this aspect, the sharing of someone you really want to be with made me a little angry. Jackson had mentioned that he didn't want to share and wanted a monogomous relationship, so in giving up what he wanted to please Audrey kind of killed the mood a little. I really wanted these two to have that happily ever after without the sharing. If these two characters weren't clearly didn't have strong feelings for eachother, than please, swap, share and do your nasty with other partners :) Just my opinion :) Regardless of all that, I still enjoyed this quick read and will look into more stories from this author

What a disappointment...I was all excited to start off a new hot cowboy series and I was totally let down. This very short story had such potential with a sexy native American rancher (Jackson) and his twin brothers with a cheeky independent bar owner. It just seems like it tried to be too many things without doing any of them really well. The whole Dom/sub thing was a joke and even though it's mentioned that Audrey had some previous bad experiences, we get no details or backstory. If you are a BDSM purist...stay away. It's also got a wicked bad case of insta-love. Not my cup of tea.

Heather's Note
So I am not sure why I didn't care for this story but I didn't. Maybe it was the inability of the characters to be upfront about their desires and needs. I also don't like the fact, in the next book the twins have a story. This means the screwed their sister in law but aren't in a true traid - which now makes this icky. I also didn't like the way the men where mob at the end. No means no. I will not be reading more of this series

Loved it

Jackson Gray Wolf is about to turn 30, and taking a hard look at his life. He spent the last 10 years raising his younger twin brothers, and working the family ranch after their parents died. The ranch is doing well and so are his brothers. The status quo is no longer doing it for him, but Audrey Anderson does

Audrey Anderson, owns the Ugly Stick Saloon. She has worked hard the last 2 years to make her bar a success, and even harder to put her past behind her. She has sworn off relationships, but Jackson Gray Wolf, is tempting her resolved.

A hot dance and an even hotter encounter in the storeroom leaves both Audry and Jackson shaken and wanting more. While Jackson wants more, Audrey tells herself to walk away. When the opportunity to strip for Jackson's birthday party comes up, Audrey can't resist taking the job, in disguise, of course.

Audrey let's herself indulge in her submissive side, with the Gray Wolf brothers. Letting go of her fears as the respect her limits, and cater to her needs. When Jackson let's out he knows who she really is, she panic's and runs. The brothers give chase, wanting to make her theirs.

A fun, fast paced and steamy story. Loved Audrey and the Gray Wolf brothers.

This is the 1st book in the Ugly Stick Saloon Series.

Who says it is only a woman’s prerogative to change her mind? Men should be able to change theirs as well. Let’s hear it for a little equality in life. Jackson may have originally claimed not to be into foursomes, but enticing circumstances brought him into the game. His change of heart leads to some wicked fun reading. The mischief scenes are hot and engaging with a realness that welcomely makes it a far cry from unbelievable fantasy erotica.

The women in this book are strong, independent, and aggressive. Jackson may claim to be the master, but Audrey does a lot of topping from the bottom. In addition, the women at the Ugly Stick Saloon on Ladies’ Night are fantastically unruly.

I plan to read more in the series.

I liked...

The story. It has the hot factor and romance put together. I did not like the end. It seems abrupt but it is part of a series so that might explain it. I'm going to get more by this author.

Faced paced smut read. It's one woman with 3 brothers. I'm personally not into menage or group and prefer books with in depth storyline and character development, but the writing is amazing and the details were pretty hot and heavy.

What’s better than having a hot date with a handsome cowboy? How about three cowboys (the handsome cowboy and his handsome younger twin brothers)?

The “date” wasn’t even supposed to happen, but with a twist of fate, Audrey Anderson was roped into getting together with Jackson Gray Wolf and his twin brothers, Mark and Luke. It was Jackson’s 30th birthday and his brothers wanted to help him celebrate it despite his insistence on not having a party. So they arranged for a stripper to show up for their little party. Audrey had run out of strippers to send, but her assistant Charli had promised the Gray Wolf twins a stripper and they had already paid. Audrey decided that even though her alter ego, Kiki, had hung up her stripping title a while back, she would have to make good on the promise of a stripper for the party. The gig went so well that Jackson was determined to find out who the mystery stripper really was.

Boots and Chaps was a take on the Cinderella story, with Kiki leaving something significant behind. Even though it didn’t take much for Jackson to put two and two together, it was still fun to see what transpired. Kiki/Audrey had recently ended an abusive relationship and was contemplating her future when the Gray Wolf cowboys caught her attention. Audrey wasn't confident about getting into another relationship so she maintained her distance and true identity with her Kiki persona. She was also concentrating on making the Ugly Stick Saloon a success with great bar patronage and a “stable” of strippers to supply for parties.

Jackson is a responsible man who had to grow up very early when his parents passed away, leaving him to take care of his younger twin brothers. He's a really good guy who isn’t sure he would want to spank Kiki/Audrey or share her with his brothers, but he's learning to widen his horizons for her. The twins Mark and Luke are eager and willing to do anything to please Audrey.

The supporting characters of Charli and Greta Sue (the bouncer) helped add some lightheartedness to the story. The story moves along quickly with lots of hot scenes between Audrey, Jackson, Mark, and Luke, in various combinations. This is a woman’s answer to all the guys who are always joking about and wishing for a couple of hot women (possibly twins) in their bed with them. Even though Audrey wasn’t looking for three hot guys to fall in love with, she really appreciates the bonus studs in bed with her.

Ms. Jackson’s writing makes the story enjoyable, with a plot that entertains and just the right amount of descriptions that enables the reader to envision the Western scenes. Since I am a suburban city girl, I enjoy reading about stories that take place in a different type of setting and Ms. Jackson did not disappoint me.

For a great erotic short story that fulfills a woman’s kinky wish for three handsome and kind cowboys, who can please her and know the boundaries, look for Boots and Chaps!

Boots and Chaps (Ugly Stick Saloon #1) by Myla Jackson
* I purchased a copy of this book for my personal library*

Audrey is the tough as nails owner of the The Ugly Stick Saloon. She hung up her dancing chaps when she moved to Temptation and bought the bar. Now thanks to Charli, both she and her chaps are coming out of retirement. After her long dry spell, she never expected to find someone willing to fulfill all her needs.

Jackson’s birthday is coming up and his brothers are determined to give him a night he won’t forget. While at The Ugly Stick Saloon, they book a stripper for a private party on their ranch. Little did they realize that the stripper they booked for Jackson’s birthday was Audrey?

I couldn’t wait to read this story because it goes hand in hand with the Dirty Tricks series. We saw Audrey and Jackson dancing around each other and then they were a couple, all told from Charli’s perspective. I loved finally seeing how their story unfolded and they ended up together in this book.

Audrey and Jackson are perfect together. They are both strong individuals that have worked hard to get where they are in life. Both of them had personal issues they needed to work out plus neither one had time for dating or anything else. With a little help from Charli and his brothers, the two of them finally connected.

Kiki’s strip tease with the boys was sexy as hell. It was obvious that the sexy Kiowa Indians enjoyed their play time as much as she did. Jackson had to convince Audrey that he was series and was willing to give her whatever she needed. Although he wasn’t crazy about sharing her, he was extremely turned on watching her with his brothers. He was supportive of her needs and didn’t think they were wrong or dirty. Hell, he even danced naked in front of a bar full of women for her, if that’s not love I don’t know what it is.

The main characters are interesting and compelling, while being perfect for one another. The secondary characters added additional depth to the book; I was surprised to see that there was more to Mark and Luke than party boys. It was nice to see characters from the Dirty Tricks series in this book too, a nice tie in to the series.

I loved this book and can’t wait to read the next installment in the Ugly Stick Saloon series. I give Boots and Chaps 4 Flaming Hearts.

Audrey is running her own Bar, her stripper days are over and she's working to become a respectable contributor to the small town of Temptation Texas. She's got her eye on Jackson the oldest of the three Grey Wolf brothers to get the edge off but he doesn't seem 'shag and let go' type of guy so when the chance reveals itself she gives one last go at stripping for Jackson's 30th birthday. Things soon get out hand with the three brothers and she's left pondering her past and present and if she can ever settle down.

Jackson has had his eye on Audrey since she got into town, but hasn't found the right time to pursue her with having to raise his twin brothers after their parents passed away. Which is why he feels so conflicted when his birthday surprise Kiki turns him on and gets out a whole new side of him. But when he realizes there is something familiar about masked Kiki all bets are off.

This story was completely unrealistic, but fun especially the end at Ugly Stick Saloon's Ladies Night! It started out with a secret tryst gone wrong and then it all went unbelievable with the stripping and the sexual antics at Jackson's 30th birthday. Myla Jackson writes hot romance for sure, with lots of emotion, tension and passion, with a twist of fun!

I've read ménage before, but never between three brothers and a girl - now even with the brothers not touching or anything it still had a little ick factor for me. If they hadn't been related I would have though it one hot story - with the chaps, ropes and light spanking!

Putting a stripper into a novel is always risky, you have to make sure they have a heart of gold and a pleasant way about them. Audrey was an ex-stripper, she was tough as nails, witty and spunky, but when she took up the Kiki gig she suddenly became weaker as her memories of her abusive ex messed with her head. Which caused her to act out of character and mess with Jackson.

The three brothers were interesting on their own, the wise cracking twins and Jackson's big brother routine. The three sexy Kiowa cowboys were hard working, fun and handsome. Mark and Luke's surprise 30th birthday party sure changed their lives for forever.

I expected Audrey to play around with the twins and hook up with Jackson for good as a happily ever after, but this novel proved me wrong... wanna know what happened? You got to pick this book up on your own!

Awesome!
Yup it was - not much of a plot - but it was a fun story :)

Jackson was turning 30 and feeling his age. Wanting to settle down with a woman instead of playing around with the "girls" his twin brothers Mark and Luke were so fond of - of course they were only 24 so the girls were fine for them. But Jackson was ready to grow up - that's not the right word. He grew up 9 years before when his parents passed away and he had to raise his 15 year old twin brothers and manage the ranch himself.. which is why he never found anyone for himself. Too busy with everything else he had to do.

Hanging out at the Ugly Stick - the local bar in the small town they live in, watching his brothers live it up while he waited at the bar. Audrey, the owner of the Ugly Stick Bar started talking to Jackson. She was about the same age as Jackson, and beautiful as ever, but Jackson knew she wouldn't be interested in him. She had her own business to run.

Audrey was flirting, and did what she could to let Jackson know she was interested, but every time they tried to have a little alone time, sometime always interfered. Admitting defeat, she decided it was probably for the best. A guy like Jackson wasn't into one night stands, he would probably take one night and turn it into forever.. not that it was a bad thing, but not something Audrey wanted, or felt she deserved.

Next day with Jackson’s birthday, and his brothers hired a stripper from the Ugly Stick - Only Charli - the assistant manager couldn't get ahold of their usual stripper - so who was going to fill in? Audrey had given up stripping and playing, but when she found out it was for Jackson and his brothers... she couldn't help but call her alter ego :)

Cute story - lots of fun action, and yes 3 guys and 1 girl - and a little BDSM - it was hot, and it was fun - and the ending was a "riot"

This book was an interesting a fun read. Lots of Cowboys, very hot sexing with brothers (3 at a time), it even had humor. I wish there would have been a bit more on the backstory for the characters, but for a Novella, it was a quick read that offered alot of heat.

Audrey is an ex-stripper who now owns the Ugly Stick Saloon and has a thing for Jackson Grey Wolf. One evening a call comes in for a stripper to go to Jackson's 30TH birthday party and no one is there to go, so she opts to use her old persona...aka..Kiki to go to the Grey Wolf Ranch and put on a show for Jackson and his brothers Luke and Mark. She winds up at the end of the night being in Jackson's bed and he suspects it is really Audrey, but doesn't say anything until he finds one of her trademark red boots under his boot.

Audrey is living in denial as she has just come out of a bad relationship and doesn't know what to expect, but likes things on the kinky side. Jackson is her dream come true, but she is still a bit gun shy. He goes out of his way to prove that he is different than her old boyfriend and even shares her with his brothers and gets into some BDSM to show her he is willing to do what it takes to be with her.

This had mild BDSM, and hot Cowboys with some fun scenes of Jackson and his brothers getting their clothing ripped off at the end by crazed woman on a Ladies only night at the Ugly Stick Saloon. Jackson endures drunk wild woman, being naked and groped to pursue his love of Audrey aka... Kiki and in the end gets his woman.

Fast paced and interesting, this was a decent read. My only complaint is wanted more on the backstory of the main characters, but the sexing and all was very hot.

I'm being generous giving it 2 stars. (Which I'm normally extremely generous in my ratings)

The dialogue was... very immature at times.
"Do me!" - Really? This lady is supposed to be in her 30s??
The Twins... "Hey Mark, check out that boner!" - REALLY? Are they frat boys? Wait, they are supposed to be 25.... wow.
“Want to play with my boobs?” - was that supposed to be sexy?

So I'm not actually sure if this is a spin off series or what, this was the first one I've read, and also the first from this author I've read.

On the BDSM scale, it is horrible. Jackson is not a Dom, and Audrey is forcing him to be one. He doesn't want to share her. Again, she forces it.
Jackson bent over backwards because he wanted her, she didn't concede on anything other than... wait no.. she didn't give an inch.

And the menage aspect was slightly awkward. And I was meh about the end

And the whole bar scene where the boys were attacked, I didn't find humorous. Honestly, the cops should have been called and all those women arrested for assault. It is unacceptable behavior, including the staff.

Not sure if I'll read the next one, or one of her others.

No rating yet because I am still thinking about it. I hated the end and there were a couple of instances where the characters seemed to act out of character! Yeah, I went there. But mostly because there is a scene that made me scream out loud "it's not funny, it's assault". I'm not sure I can give the story a good rating just because of that.

3/18/13 - I decided to give a middle of the road rating. I am going to read more of the series because I like the way Myla Jackson writes. I can't give a better rating because (spoilers ahead) of the scene where Jackson and his brothers show up at the bar to tell Audrey they like that she is sexually unihibited. I think that part is great! But, the woman at the Ugly Stick proceed to strip the men naked, grope them, pinch them and then act like it's their right. Even the bar's bouncer stands back and laughs about it. She doesn't even call the cops. I am appalled! If the scene were reversed and it was three women stripped naked and fondled, people would be up in arms about it.

Just read at your own risk!

I started this book some time ago but couldn't finish it. Maybe I was reading too much “porn” at the time or something but it just wasn't doing it for me. I've been on a readers block lately so I decided to give it a try again and what did you know it has potential.

I really liked the whole mystery dancer with the mask and all that. The BDSM portion of the book was a little bland but I understand that Jackson was not a born Dom and they are all wadding the waters in that respect.

What I found difficult to understand was the fact that neither Jackson, Luke nor Mark put together the fact that Audrey was really Kiki. I mean if she was mute during the encounter I can see how but she was speaking. And even if she changed her voice it is (if they are doing it correctly) impossible for her to keep the charade with her brain scrambled.

Anyhow I will be reading the next book just to see if the story better holds my attention. If not I’ll have to say bye-bye to this series.
