The Message is a modern translation of the Quran that undertakes a unique approach from previous English translations. The two key differences that will be appreciated by objective readers and students of the Scripture The purpose of this work is to share with the reader the eternal words of the Quran, which was revealed over 1,400 years ago and has since changed the world. The Quran contains within its pages the blueprint for the most appropriate system designed for the benefit of mankind. This system covers all aspects from the formation of a government, to inheritance guidelines, to the rules of war, to the basis of an economic and monetary system that yields the fairest results for all.
This is a different translation of the Quran. In general, I quite like the translation itself, it is easy to read and has good flow. I don't however agree with the agenda of the group that produced this. They don't accept hadith and want to rely only on the Quran. I don't actually see this as affecting the translation as a whole too much. If I get some time in the future I hope to come back to this review and give specific examples to explain my feelings better.
