Sabrina Fairfax was a pampered and spoiled only child of an English father who loved to gamble. When he lost his fortune and then died with a stroke, Sabrina was devastated. She met Sion Kenyon from Wales one dark night on the street when she was attacked by two men, one of which was a lord. Sion rescued her and was sentenced to prison for striking the despicable lord. Sabrina saved him from prison by indenturing him and taking him to America to help her find the land in the new world her father had left her. They traveled to what is now Tennessee, and met some helpful Americans. Only when Sabrina was taken captive by hostile Indians, and rescued again by Sion and others, did she free him from the indenture so he could marry her.
