Blake Karrington is more than an author. He’s a storyteller who places his readers in action-filled moments. It’s in these creative spaces that readers are allowed to get to know his complex characters as if they’re really alive.

Most of Blake’s titles are in the South in urban settings that are often overlooked by the mainstream. But through Blake’s eyes, readers quickly learn that places like Charlotte, NC can be as gritty as they come. It’s in these streets of this oft overlooked world where Blake portrays murderers and thieves alike as believable characters. Without judgement, he weaves humanizing backstories that serve up compelling reasons for why a drug dealer might choose a life of crime.

Readers of speak of the roller coaster ride of emotions that ensues from feeling anger at empathetic characters who always seem to do the wrong thing at the right to keep the story moving forward.

In terms of setting,Blake’s stories introduce his readers to spaces they may or may not be used to - streetscapes with unkept, cracked sidewalks where poverty prevails, times are depressed and people are broke and desperate. In Blake storytelling space, morality is so curved that rooting for bad guys to get away with murder can sometimes seem like the right thing for the reader to do - even when it’s not.

Readers who connect with Blake find him to be relatable. Likening him to a bad-boy gone good, they see a storyteller who writes as if he’s lived in world’s he generously shares, readily conveying his message that humanity is everywhere, especially in the unlikely, mean streets of cities like Charlotte.

I am so glad I read this series. I must say that it was worth it, and has been listed as one of my favorites. I will be picking up all of Blake Karrington's other books. The ladies handled their business in Part II. They stood by their men and through the test of times. Not all women are made from that kind of cloth. I am so sorry that the ladies in Qs life keep getting hurt. One thing is for sure, Q is going to have to make a choice at one point. I don't know how long it is going to before things really come to blows between Tee and Van. I guess every group has it's snitches. You saw what happen to the PG Crew's snitches, lets see what happens to the New York crew's snitch. Some of them are not afraid to hurt women. I'm so glad the crooked cop & ole snitch got what they deserved. He got to see exactly how Tee felt when they hurt her. You can best believe that Q will take it justice in his own hands and handle business for his beloved Van. After all he does love her more than life! I'll end this review, before I give up too many spoilers. There is one last thing comes to mind, WHERE IN THE HECK IS COUNTRY BOY 3?????

This one was better than the first one.......the writing style was better and the characters were more developed.......The story line was great.....Q is released from prison, reconnects with members of his crew and the brings unity between the PG Crew and the NYers......there was also his love for his women Q seems to be able to make each one feel special when they are with him and I guess that's the reason they all couldn't help but love him......as always Q was still that fine and sexy man that made every woman wanna drop their panties.......Can't wait to continue the ride with Q and the rest of the PG Crew........

I loved this book! I wrote the author to see when Part 3 would be available and he said at the end of March!

Q and his crew are all about their business and their women. This book was exciting from beginning to end. The boys from New York are causing problems. The Feds are trying to put Q and his Men away from their deeds in book one, but the girls in this crew aren't going to sit by and just let that happen. They are truly ride or die chicks! They hold their men down under all circumstances! Payback is always a must!

Can't wait for Part 3 at the end of March!

Quentel is back at it again. The book held minor errors that can be overlook, but it didn't take away from the book itself. The police and other people is out to get Q and his people, but he has to stay one step ahead in order not to go down. In this book he has to endure jail time in all, but he still rise out on top. This book is very much action packed and had you wanting more even though you had enough. Q, June, and Tim is a force not to be reckon with. They are a deathly crew along with the girls. It's a must read.

Nice

Nice

I pick this rating because I did like the book. I like the story plot. The men was very country but down for there females which was sexy and kept the book interesting to me personally, but I did think that the girls was a little bit corny at some points like they was trying to hard to be like men. except for the island chick (I can't remember her name right now) she was dark but classy I think.

Entertaining

What a ride! Action on top of action. Q is in love with 2 women and I’m not even mad at him. He cares about both of them. The two women have an understanding bc they know he loves them both. Van is Q’s heart and Charlotte will never be the same if she doesn’t make it

Great

Book 2 was much better than 1! The women stepped up and held the men down. Van is the GOAT and Q should be glad he has her! Hopefully in book 3 Q will settle down with one woman. I'm glad they finally got Tech and Jacobs! Let me read book 3......
