Recommends it for: Fans of quick, hot romances with a bit of mystery.
I was in a bit of a reading slump so this ebook by Elle Kennedy came along just in time. EK's books are winners for me 99% of the time, and I'm happy to say that Hidden Desires didn't disappoint. I got just what I was looking for and expecting--a hot romance, a bit of a mystery, and some really good storytelling, all wrapped up in under 100 pages. And somehow there was no skimping--I knew enough about the characters to feel like I really knew them, and since the H/h had previously met, their rom ...more

het is boring
My review cross-posted from Joyfully Reviewed:

When fashion designer Rachel Foster finds herself on the wrong side of a locked dressing room door wearing nothing more than some barely-there lingerie, she figures her day can’t get any worse. Then she runs into Travis Gage – her sister Carrie’s ex-boyfriend and the man she holds responsible for Carrie’s suicide back in high school – and finds out she was wrong. But despite Rachel’s best efforts to evade him,

Travis and Rachel make one of the most nice couples I've read. Rachel was always mocked when in high school along with her older sister. Travis was her sister's boyfriend for a while in high school. Almost 15 years later they meet again and all the closure Rachel thought she has from her sister's death is now shredded to pieces. Travis helps her find the closure she needs and in the meantime they fall in love with each other. A truly cute story. One of my favorites.

Not my favourite by this author but an ok story. It all happened a bit quick for me.

Rachel always blamed her sisters ex boyfriend Travis for Callies suicide but when a chance encounter 15 years later leaves doubt in her mind.

Travis, now a cop, agrees to help dig a bit into Callies past in order to find out why she would take her own life. In the meantime Rachel and Travis grow closer, having both experienced the pain of losing someone close

Can Rachel trust him though?

eh..why did I read this..I put her other books as 3 stars and the last one I read as a 2 star and still I keep reading.. and this wasnt worth the time..really boring book and the smoking sex that made the other book bearable was absent in this one..and that lame ass excuse her aunt gave....totally pissed me of

A different type of book from Kennedy than I've come to expect. No alpha military-type hero. A wonderful story of learning to love and coming to terms with your past. As much as I love her uber-alphas, I loved this even more. She's becoming an autobuy for me for her fantastic heroes and her love stories.

I'm starting to think anything done by this author before 2015 is just a waste of time. I started reading more by this author because I love her series the deal. However everything I have read of hers before 2015 is just sh*t. Save your time and money it's just not worth it.
Very short ebook. Was just ok, since it was an intrigue - everything was resolved so quickly, no build up. Including their relationship. Oh well...
I usually love books by this author, but the writing did not have her usual magic touch - parts were cliched, annoying and melodramatic...Disappointed. Toasted from Ebook Library.

Not overly erotic, but a good mystery with a bit of sex and personal development. More than I imagined it to be!

A little weekend guilty pleasure.
