I can see why some readers enjoy this author, but her style just isn’t my cup of tea! I struggled to connect with the characters and the plot, so I think I'll be hitting the pause button on her books for a while.

But don’t worry, I’m not closing the door completely. I might give her another shot down the road. Who knows? Maybe the next book will be a perfect fit!

I'm way too sensitive about the OWD, but more so when said OW did something with the MMC. See, the thing is, I was enjoying this up until the point where his previous hookup appeared all of a sudden on his doorstep and kissed him.

He said, "I stopped the kiss. She caught me by surprise." but it was way too late because the FMC and his son caught them in the act.

Also, this is how he described what happened: "Her hands land in my hair and she tugs it, her mouth on mine before I've even had time to process what's happening." Sure, buddy, whatever you say.

How come he didn't see that coming? The hair tugging is the first sign, dude! Why did he let it go that far? I think he could've blocked her attempt, tbh. Was he that surprised?

Oh, and I still continued reading after that disaster. The FMC went to a bar and was hit on by some guy. But she's not interested because the kiss between the MMC and the OW is still fresh in her mind. But the MMC went after her bringing his kid along with him, and this ruined her night even more.

So to avoid him, she ended up talking and flirting with the guy. And when she got home, the MMC apparently waited on her and even had the audacity to ask her if she kissed him. I mean, hypocrite much?

Anyway, I don't care anymore if there's an explanation or if he can't really stop that kiss from happening. I'm out, I lost interest just like that. 😒

Stay was a fantastic finale to Willow Aster’s ‘Landmark Mountain’ series. I was excited for Judge Sutton Landmark’s book. Felicity takes the job as Sutton’s son’s nanny. Owen and Felicity’s relationship was my favorite part of this book. They were the sweetest together and Owen was the best kid. Overall, I enjoyed this book so much!

so this was pretty much everything i hate about single dad x nanny 😬😬 i really only liked the last like 20% of the book… if that

Felicity finished college early and is looking for a change. her brother’s teammate mentions Sutton is looking for a nanny and so she applies for the position. of course the young, attractive woman is the best fit for the job and Sutton hires her.

it’s pretty insta-lust. it takes until around 40% i think for them to act on anything but they’re both feeling something towards the other. Felicity thinks Sutton sees her as a kid and her crush is one sided. Sutton thinks it’s wrong for him to be lusting after her bc of his age and that he’s a respected judge who shouldn’t be going after his nanny.

i was prepared for the OW drama… however i was not prepared for how much there would be. this author likes throwing ex-hookups in there for some drama so i was ready. here though i thought it would just be his ex-wife. not his ex-wife, ex-hookup, and single moms from his sons sports team. 🙄 i can deal with ow flirting with my mmcs as long as they put a stop to it…. Sutton does not (only with his ex-wife). hated that Felicity had to see him kiss his ex-hookup that he admitted he might take to dinner next time she was in town and not only that but his thoughts were “maybe she’s what i need to distract myself from my nanny” gtfo. truly if Felicity and Owen weren’t home or didn’t walk into the room i feel like he would have let things go further. then the moms… why did Felicity have to be the one to deal with them?? at least he put his ex-wife in her place AFTER letting her dictate his week and push Felicity out of their home. didn’t like that part at all !

anyways this just didn’t do it for me. i only really liked book 1 & 3 in this series so… maybe my expectations were too high.

i just don’t like older single dads who want their nanny but are too cowardly to do anything about it. he hurt her feelings time and time again and even after she stands up for herself saying she’ll know if it’s too much or whatever he still doesn’t change his mindset. i hate that it takes an accident to make him pull his head out of his ass

This is one of my favorite series, and I have to admit, I'm kinda emotional seeing it come to an end.

If it's Single Dad, count me in, and I was super excited to see Sutton find her match. I think Felicity was the perfect fit; she brought a whole new vibe to Sutton's life, with just the right amount of age gap that we love.

I totally loved the connection she had with Owen right from the start. Those two together just warmed my heart.

I've to say, Willow really nailed the chemistry between Sutton and Felicity. Our hero's got a filthy mouth that had me melting multiple times. But I confess, there were moments when I wanted to jump into the story and knock some sense into him, to just let himself go already. But it was worth the wait because when they finally gave in, it was chef's kiss.

It was bittersweet saying goodbye to Landmark and all the characters. But I'm also super pumped for the stories yet to come; Willow is one of my favorite authors.

The fifth and final book in the Landmark Mountain series, this is a swoony, sexy, chemistry-filled romance with all the feels! An age-gap, single-dad/nanny romance that had my heart pounding, I loved this book so much!

Please note that while you can read this as a standalone, there is lots of character involvement from previous books, so if you haven’t read those (and you should, because they’re all awesome), there will be a lot of people that you don’t know in this one.

Sutton is the eldest of the Landmark siblings. He is the serious and responsible one, a Judge and a divorced single father to an adorable eight year old, and he needs some help managing it all. When he meets potential new nanny, Felicity, he is instantly attracted, and stunned by the intensity of his reaction. But she’s the best person for the job, and at 13 years younger than him, completely off limits. He knows he can keep his feelings in check, so he gives her a job and moves her into an apartment above his garage.

Felicity is a pre-law student who has no intention of studying law. She needs a break from the heavy expectations of her parents while she figures her life out, and a job nannying for Sutton in a small mountain town, is exactly what she’s after. Even if her first meeting with her new boss has her completely tied in knots and lusting after the sexy older man.

Sutton and Felicity get on brilliantly, and she effortlessly becomes a part of the family – not only with Sutton and Owen, but she’s quickly adopted by the extended Landmark crew. There’s lots of sweet and fun moments, and I really enjoyed all of the different dynamics as we watch the family interact. But at the heart of the story is the burning attraction between Sutton and Felicity, and the tension is sensational!

“I’m afraid of what you make me feel,” I start slowly, “and what it could cost me.”
“What do I make you feel?” Her voice is breathless ….
“Everything. You make me feel everything, Felicity, and it scares the hell out of me.”

They don’t hide it from each other – the longing stares alone are enough to make sure their feelings are right out there in the open – but Sutton has reasons why he won’t go there. And so we get this fantastic yearning between them, where every moment, every interaction means so much, and when the tension finally snaps, holy freaking hell, they are on fire!

“What if I want what can’t be mine?” he asks.
The need in his voice makes my insides tremble.
“Tell me what you want and maybe it can be,” I whisper.

I love these two together! It’s easy, natural, sexy and fun, and they are so freaking cute! They’re keeping it to themselves to avoid the scrutiny of the family, actually the whole town, so there’s a bonus element of a forbidden, secret romance, which makes everything between them the more exciting.

They do have some issues they need to work through, and though there is some drama, they’re open and honest about it, they talk and they don’t hold anything back from each other. Felicity, in particular, is so amazing, standing up to Sutton and putting her heart on the line for him, and even though she’s paired with the most irresistibly swoony hero, she just shines. And though they have drama to work through, it’s done in a way which adds to the emotion of the story without being overly angsty, and becomes an important part of the development of the characters and their relationship.

Felicity Shaw is dismantling my life one brick wall at a time and in a way that makes me want to yank my heart out of my chest and say, “Here, take it. It’s yours anyway.”

As I mentioned, the rest of the Landmark family are along for the ride, and watching them watch Sutton and Felicity, knowing that there are feelings between them and just sitting back and watching it all unfold, is so entertaining. Little Owen is a huge part of the story, as he should be, and I love the relationship he has with his Dad, and the bond that he forms with Felicity.

The love story unfolds beautifully, I felt everything between these two, and I loved getting so completely swept up in their romance.

I have adored this series. It’s my first by Willow Aster, and it’s made me an auto-buy fan. These characters and their stories have a special place in my heart, and more than one of them has made my all-time fave list.

This is such a gorgeous read – 5 stars.

This was such a perfect ending to the cutest series! I have been both dreading and dying to read this one. I didn’t want to say goodbye to Landmark Mountain but I was really looking forward to Sutton’s book and it was so worth the wait. Single dad and the nanny is all I needed to hear but this also has age gap too as an added bonus. Sutton was fairly quiet and reserved in the glimpse we saw in previous books and it was good to see a different side of him. Moments between him and his son, Owen were absolutely adorable then he was a bossy, dirty talker with Felicity and hot damn. I loved Felicity too, she was the missing puzzle piece for the Landmark boys and her relationship with both of them was so special. This series is my comfort and I know I’ll revisit it in the future, it’s cozy, sweet, sexy and so so much fun!

This is the fifth and final book in the Landmark Mountain series and I am so incredibly sad to be saying goodbye to the Landmark family. I love each and every one of them so much!

Sutton, Owen and Felicity stole the show for me. Their relationship was just so incredibly sweet, especially Owen and Felicity. I just loved how quickly and easily Felicity fit in with Sutton and Owen and of course with the rest of the Landmark crew.

We get a little glimpse at the end of what is to come in the next series by Willow Aster and I for one am SO EXCITED!

I enjoyed this story, but I wasn’t obsessed with it. It’s the fifth book of the Landmark Mountain series and the first one I’ve read from this series and the author. It can be read as a stand alone, although I might admit that the family is huge and sometimes you might get lost in so many names but you’ll handle it 🤣

This book has one of my current favorite tropes at the moment: single dad x nanny. And add a plus if it’s an age gap well done 🫣

The couple Felicity and Sutton were very sweet and in the beginning the story was solid and very addicting, but I think it felt sometimes too rush some events that happened throught the book. The constant “She’s too young” or “I’m too old” was getting out of hand, since they were both adults despite their 13 year age gap.

Nonetheless, the story and the small town were very sweet like a Hallmark movie. And the family too 🫶🏻

Owen was so cute 🥹

Despite all of this, I had fun reading this book and it was very easy and fluid to get through it with short chapters 💅🏻

Single dad x nanny is my jam, and Willow does it SO. FREAKING. WELL!

I mean, I’ve been drooling over Sutton Landmark from the moment I met him, and it’s been rude of Willow to draw out my anticipation this long, but finally. FINALLY. I got to read my man! And it was so worth it.

Sutton is the local judge who hires Felicity Shaw to be the nanny for his adorable son, Owen. There was an immediate chemistry, though Sutton’s grumpy butt was initially too concerned over their age difference and how it would look for the straight-laced judge to suddenly be dating a much younger woman, and his kid’s nanny to boot! But that couldn’t last long as the sparks between them continued to ignite and burn hot. Seriously…the two of them together is so explosive and delicious. And Sutton is so dang hot and broody.

On top of that… Felicity’s relationship with Owen was the absolute cutest. The way that little boy fell so hard for her, and she gave him the love and attention he’d been missing from his less-than-attentive mom. It was just so wonderful.

I could go on and on but I just love everything about this story, okay? Landmark Mountain has become one of my happy places, my comfort reads. I love the Landmark family, and this newest addition is no different. I’m not ready to say goodbye to this family, and I know I will continue to return to this series for a long time to come!

being back in the small town of landmark mountain was everything. i was filled with so much giddy excitement, this book was exactly what i needed.

i really liked felicity and sutton’s relationship. you’d think with felicity being sutton’s son’s nanny and younger that there’d be a drawn line, but there wasn’t. they couldn’t deny the attraction they felt right from the beginning and it only intensified. and obviously there’s an age difference but when the heart wants what it wants, why deny it? also, the connection and relationship that felicity formed with owen, sutton’s son was beautiful.

stay was an amazing small town romance with the single dad/nanny trope that i love. this fictional quaint town has become one of my favorites. and with this series coming to an end, willow has done a phenomenal job setting up her next series. i have to say i am already obsessed and need the first book, especially because single dads, say less. i’m just so feral for single dad books, i’m so excited and can’t wait!

A perfect ending to a great series!!

I'm so sad to be done with Landmark Mountain but this was definitely a great way to end it. Single dad and nanny, age gap romance!! I mean how could you go wrong.

I loved Sutton and Felicity. They were definitely meant for each other and Felicity fit right in with the family and was the perfect person to squeeze into Owen's life. She was so caring to both of them and treated Owen like he was her own child and Sutton seen that and couldn't help but fall in love with her. The family aspect in this series is so perfect. I love when the whole family is involved in the story and banter between all of them is great. It was fun seeing parts of Weston (Felicity's brother) that I can't wait to see more of either.

Definitely recommend this whole series. It's wholesome, heartwarming, cozy and gives you all the small town and family feels!!

This book wrapped up the Landmark Mountain series so beautifully! It was the perfect ending to such wonderful series! It was fun, sweet, and heartfelt. I absolutely loved it!

Single dad and judge Sutton Landmark hires Felicity to be the nanny for his eight-year-old son. Right from the start they both feel this instant attraction towards each other, and this only intensifies as they spend more time together. Sutton is worried about their age difference and therefore doesn’t act on his feeling straight away. This creates great tension and angst between them and makes the moment when they finally give into their feeling even better!

Felicity & Sutton’s relationship was raw, real and honest with so many sweet, steamy, and swoony moments! I adored Owen (Sutton’s son) he was the sweetest kid ever! I loved Felicity and how she brought so much light, love, and joy into their lives. If you’re looking for a heart-warming and cozy read with all the small town and family feels, then this one for you!!

I had the opportunity to read this truly lovely story as an ARC from the author and I’m so happy I got to do so!

Without offering spoilers, I will say this: I know it’s a special book when I feel very squiggly (i.e. so full of feelings my body actually gets all tingly) from literally the first few chapters.

And damn if I wasn’t squiggly through nearly every part of this book! Felicity and Sutton had HEAT and intense EMOTION toward each other from the jump. And the way Willow wove those two things into this story of a single dad and his nanny, who have a 13-year age gap, was EXPERT.

Full of amazing characters, most especially Sutton’s son Owen — this book was deliberate and distinctive in laying this story out. I loved the relationship Felicity built with Owen and certainly the path she and Sutton took to their love story. He was gone for her quickly — it was so clear even when he wouldn’t admit it. And the teasing his siblings and Grinny threw at him about it was hilarious. For her part, Felicity was also over the moon for the sexy judge pretty immediately — though obviously trying to maintain professionalism.

In all, I loved this sweet, small town story of finding love in the most unexpected places…when you weren’t even looking for it.

my first willow aster book and it was so heartwarming. i love big family dynamics so the landmarks were right up my ally. the chemistry between sutton & felicity was great. wasn't loving olivia and had zero time for tracy. owen, ivy and dakota were just the cutest. Loved the whole family together and their hilarious bond.

Sutton is the oldest of the Landmarks. The last single one. Him and his son need help. The hire a nanny. Felicity is coming out college and needing a break to decide what she wants to do. She takes the job with Sutton and his son Owen.
Instant sparks between the two of them. They both are convinced they need to keep it professional.
Keeping it professional leads to just between us. What could go wrong. 😅
I absolutely loved how they made Owen and Felicity just as important as Felicity and Sutton. Owen and her are just precious. Loved Owen finally getting a mama and having her be so good for him.
Felicity and Sutton are so cute and watching them try and fail miserably to stay away was the perfect ending to the series. Sutton needed her to push him to take something for himself and Felicity needed him to find her home. Together finding their HEA.

Can’t believe this series is over 🥺 I was so looking forward to Sutton's story and his HEA, and I think this was a great ending to the Landmark Mountain series! 🥰

Sutton Landmark is a local judge, divorced and a caring dad to his adorable son, Owen. But being a judge and a full-time dad is a challenging task, and even though the Landmarkses are always present and happy to help, he realizes that in his case the best and wisest decision is to hire a nanny who will be able to help around and look after Owen while he's gone.

And just like that, Felicity enters his life, and in the process wins our hearts. She's an amazing character and it's quite hard not to love her to be honest. Despite being younger than Sutton, she's incredibly wise and mature. She's determined, she knows what she wants and she isn't afraid to go after it.

The relationship that Felicity develops with Owen is so precious. She's so supportive of him, she cares deeply for him and the love she has for Sutton's son just grows stronger with each day. And with this, day by day, her relationship with Sutton grows deeper and they become closer, too. Sutton melts every time he sees his son happy with his nanny, and he soon realizes how special she is to him as well.

I honestly adore the three of them. They're a package deal, and they're perfect.
Sutton is very reserved and he did his absolute best to fight the chemistry he has with Felicity, to a point where I wanted to scream and just see him finally SNAP. And boy was I glad when this man, indeed, snapped. 🔥

Sutton and Felicity are just ❤️ They work so well together and complement each other greatly. There's love, there's caress, there's heat, and there's family. And what makes me even happier is that Sutton, this quiet man who thought that love was never going to happen for him, found his person and gets to live the fairy tale his family has been experiencing for while now. 🥰

I love this series so much. Willow Aster created and gave us these cozy and sweet and passionate stories, she gave us this beautiful and united family, and these books will always be my comfort reads.

Sweet, but a little too sweet. Introduced real conflict with Owen's mom but didn't completely explore and resolve it. Introduced inner conflict for Felicity about her career aspirations, and whoops tied up in a bow with a new career never even mentioned before on 2nd to last page. No explanation of how she got there. Introduced conflict with Felicity's family about her career and with her sister, who knows if or how resolved?

Also odd for how amazing Felicity is and how easily she connects with Sutton's family that she has no meaningful relationship with any friends from high school or college and only surface relationships with her family. She's never bonded with anyone before and in weeks she bonds with entire Landmark family? For how warm and caring she is, improbable she'd bring no relationships to her adult life. Why make her character shallow like that?

Just realized this is 2nd book in this series to disappoint me because of great but unfilled potential in characters and storylines.

Sutton has been closed off from love since his first marriage was less than ideal. And now, the burly and serious Judge, finds himself crushing on the much younger nanny. But neither Sutton, nor Felicity, can stop the feelings and the chemistry that these two have.

I have been impatiently waiting Sutton’s book. When we first meet him in this series, I knew that I wasn’t the grumpy single dad’s book ASAP, and she made us wait, but it was sooo worth the wait!! Felicity is Sutton’s absolute perfect match. I love the happiness and joy that only Owen has been able to bring out of him.

I am going to miss this series so much, but OMG, the preview to the next one?!!! I CANNOT WAIT!

This is the final book in the Landmark Mountain series and it did notttt disappoint. Sutton was everything I could've hoped for and more. Sutton is looking for a nanny for his son, Owen so that he can give his family a break. Felicity is a college graduate who has been on the path for law school but decided she didn't want to do that anymore and wanted something different.

Sutton & Felicity have instant chemistry. There was so much heat between the two of them! I got butterflies quite a few times. Sutton tried so hard to resist it considering she's his nanny and significantly younger than him.

Owen is the cutest 8 year old and I loved seeing his and Felicity's relationship. It was absolutely the sweetest. I love the Landmark family. They are all freaking amazing and I love seeing all of their relationships.

I loved this book so much. I'm seriously SO SAD to see this series coming to an end. I feel like I'm moving away from my friends. UGH!

Stay by Willow Aster is the final book in the Landmark series. I have not read any of the previous books in the series, and I was able to read and enjoy Stay. The age-gap of 13 years, between Sutton and Felicity, wasn’t significant enough to feel gross, and I always enjoy a nanny and boss trope. I loved the relationships between the Landmark siblings, and I can’t wait to check out the previous books. I also enjoyed Felicity’s relationship with Sutton’s son. Felicity was a great nanny and in this case, she showed maturity beyond her years.

Only a couple of issues stuck out to me regarding Stay, and they didn’t hinder me from enjoying the book. I wish there was a bigger issue or problem, instead of multiple smaller issues. The problems with previous relationships and or those caused by miscommunication, didn’t seem like a big enough deal. I didn’t enjoy Felicity’s immaturity and lack of confidence within the relationship with Sutton or with her parents.

Overall, I would recommend this book to those who like a sweet, spicy romance.

it was fun and easy exactly the palette cleanser between romantasy. however, my one bone to pick with this book is that the tropes don’t imply tension, you need to write it. I think single dad x nanny romance is a small town is over saturated and done way to much, I get the idea behind needing a reason they’d be together but I feel like no one takes a unique approach to it so it just feels like the same as the rest of them, it’s nothing new.

I loved this series has a whole but it went downhill for me on the last two, but it’s definitely a fun. fast paced time with such a cool family. I wish the lodge had more presence throughout the books.

This could be my favourite book out of the series but I’m pretty sure I’ve said that about every other book in the series 🤦🏼‍♀️I CANT HELP IT OKAY! The Landmarks and pappy are just everything okay! I 100% cried in the end of the book for good reasons only. Some parts did make me mad but Felicity conquered that shit so quickly. Love the strong FMC!!
