i just bought this book for my daughter after she had surgery in jan. i read it to her as she is only 5 and just learning to read herself. she loved it and was able to follow along with the story, the pictures on almost every page added to her enjoyment. she is hooked. we are almost done our second fairy book ! i am sure there will be more to follow and seeing as i will most likely read more to my daughters then for myself i thought i would add them to my list!

I like that they have adventures but the whole story is not as exciting as when they find the missing item.

Miss 3 seems to be enjoying these so we're working our way through them. This one has a birthday party to save in both the human world and fairy world.

Miss 3 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

this one is like 4 books in one, so it is actually better than the others because it has the plot set up as well as the quest rather than breaking those up. I liked that they finally get along with the goblins at the end and that the goblins had mostly good intentions in this book.

My oldest daughter started out as a reluctant reader and this was the first series that she latched onto. My youngest daughter just inherited her older sister's collection and is also in love with the series. The Rainbow Magic books are formulaic and a bit saccharine for my tastes but I'm not complaining. There are worse things they could be reading. I myself went through a Sweet Valley phase. I know this will not last forever, better tastes will develop. Considering our options, I am grateful f ...more

Its really nice for people who have a passion for adventure and fun stories. First of all, Jack Frost steals the elements and since he can't enjoy his birthday he thought no body should enjoy theirs. He took the elements away from Belle and hid them. Belle, Kristy, and Rachel help the goblin find the big birthday book for Belle and she told Jack Frost's birthday date. I liked the best when they found the present as it was so exciting and magical. It made me laugh and even though Jack Frost was s ...more

Great for 8-10 year olds, gets them to read. Got the digital copy for my 9 yo. Quick story with no real bad bad guys, but definitely disruptive goblins. Don't think it really promotes and real themes other than cooperation. Though truly, not likely to get cooperation from enemies as such. Still quick read, cute overall.

The goblins are very mean and nasty, but they think the fairies are nasty, even though the goblins are the ones that are nasty. The goblins start to change their ways when the fairies help them. L.A.
