A beautifully written, exciting story. Shawn Davis knows the territory and she tells it in a very easy to read style. She gets behind the scenes into the family side of the CIA world in a way I've never seen a male author do. She exposes some very frightening scenarios that seem all-too-possible in our dangerous world. There are also quite a few really funny asides, usually sarcastic. All in all, an enjoyable read.

Shawn Davis is a military spouse and the author of the book The Spy's Wife. She promises that the wives of spies can be just as interesting as the spies themselves. Also, if someone tells you they are married to a spy, they probably aren't.

Shawn was born in Sacramento, California, and despite easy access to beaches she never managed to tan. She did, however, develop an addiction to Mexican food th
