Crazy Concoctions: A Mad Scientist's Guide to Messy Mixtures

Rate this book
Making a mess is generally frowned upon, but if you are learning important scientific principles and creating cool science experiments, then the mess will have to be excused. Within the pages of this diabolically genius book is a collection of experiments that kids can do at home. They may make a mess, but they are fun, easy, and educational.

This book is full of experiments/recipes to create gross and disgusting stuff, such as slime, fake puke, and fake blood. An introduction at the beginning of the book warns kids to have an adult there to help. A mad scientist character, Dr. Viskus Fickleschmutz, who was "kicked off" the project interjects and crosses off some of the author's work, adding humor to the book. A fun book for kids to use with their brave parents, but also a good choice for some science teachers to use in their curriculum.

We really liked this one. The projects are cheap and fun, the information interesting and presented in a silly way. 6 year old enjoyed looking through it even when we weren't doing a project.
