Maybe if one hasn't ever been backstage then it might be enlightening. However, it's mostly photographs of actors in underwear putting on makeup. Granted, there are a lot more famous faces than you would see in community theater, but it's very much the same vibe.
I pride myself on being a pretty good photographer, particularly trying to get the backstage shots that no one else thinks to get. Except Rivka did it all in this book. I thought it so PERFECTLY captured the backstage spirit that I was getting misty-eyed in the bookstore when I first saw it years ago. Yup. One of my favorite coffee table books.
