A touching tale of a mother-son relation set in the slums of Madras. Not exactly happy with the fate of Manickam, though.

Individual is more important than institutions like family or society is the theme. An emotional drama between the individual n the institutions set among the slum of Madras! Plot and theme are excellent yet I found the execution drought and superficial. The preaching tone of the Thondar character is irritating at times.
Read it if you are a JK fan!
